Our first visit to South Africa, we were wowed by the beauty of the Drakensberg and were so pleased we had chosen to stay at Montusi. The setting is breathtaking, peaceful and quiet, lovely individual cottages set in immaculate grounds. We stayed for two nights and wished we had stayed longer. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful, it’s obvious this place is run with love and care by the family. Every amenity had been thought of in the cottages, from fresh milk and filter coffee to bathrobes, biscuits and quality toiletries. The food was delicious too, fresh local produce full of flavour. We loved it here, thank you.

Wer die Weite, Abgeschiedenheit und absolute Ruhe, gepaart mit ein wenig Luxus mag, der ist in der Montusi Mountain Lodge genau richtig. Die Lodge liegt direkt vor dem Amphitheater der Drakensberge und bietet einen wunderbaren Blick auf das Umland. Die gesamte Anlage ist mit Liebe erbaut und gepflegt. Und auch wenn man hier völlig abgeschieden von dem nächsten Ort ist, bietet die Lodge eine Menge Aktivitäten, so dass einem nicht langweilig wird. Man kann reiten, Wandern, Mountainbiken, Quadfahren oder sich im eigenen Spa verwöhnen lassen. Die einzelnen, kleinen, wunderschönen und komfortabel eingerichteten Häuschen sind alle so ausgerichtet, dass man auf seiner Terrasse ungestört von den anderen Nachbarn sitzen kann und vom Schlafzimmer aus einen wundervollen Blick in die Weiten der Natur genießt. Das Personal ist super freundlich und das Essen schmeckt grandios. Hier bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Wir kommen wieder.

Wunderschöne Lodge um Wanderungen direkt von der Lodge, aber auch mit dem Auto zu Naturpark zu machen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es können auch Führungen im nahegelegenen Dorf gemacht werden. Ein eindrucksvolles Erlebnis. Sehr empfehlenswert!
