Cascades Lodge

Owner/manager tries but is clueless. No restaurant. Granola bars and juice doesn't cut it for a continental breakfast for skiers. The place is very dated. Old TVs in rooms. Maintenance issues while we were there included brown water and no hot water at times. Bartender was great. Lots of fun . Hot tub is tiny. Shared microwave for the entire hotel. Fire place is just flickering lights . Not at all what is pictured on the website .Expensive for what it is. Room was clean.

Location is very good . Ski shop next door to get 1/2 price ski rentals

Need electrical outlets, no table. Has old type TV., just takes place on dresser .No breakfast. Very expensive. Almost $500 per night

The pool was really clean and nice. The sauna could have been a bit hotter, but this is the US, not Finland.

The room was a bit on the cold side. The water from the faucet tasted funny and we were told at the front desk not to drink it.

LOCATION WAS GREAT AND SHUTTLE WAS VERY CONVIENIENT. PRICE WAS DECENT SINCE THE LOCATION WAS SO CLOSE TO THE SLOPES.

ROOMS A LITTLE DATED. WATER WAS BROWN AND TASTED FUNNY. STEPS WERE NOT CLEANED OFF REGULARLY. ALSO THE LIVING ROOM SHOULD BE OPEN EARLIER AND STAY OPEN LATER. WANTED TO USE MICROWAVE FOR BREAKFAST, BUT THE LIVING ROOM WAS LOCKED. SKIERS TEND TO GET UP EARLY AND MOVIN'.

Room was great. very comfortable bed with lots of bedding. They provided a lot of towels as well which was helpful. Very cool lobby with lots of room, a large tv, games, and a bar where there were plenty of people socializing. Complimentary tea and hot chocolate as well which was a plus. Another great thing was the proximity to the Killington Lodges and ski lifts like snowshed or ramshead.

One complaint I have was with the water. It had a very metallic smell and taste to it, not sure if the pipes are rusty or if there's just a lot of minerals in the water system. I didn't feel too comfortable with that metallic taste and smell.
