Cultivar Boutique Hotel

The place is beautiful and picture perfect. The pool, the scenery, the decor, everything stunning. Checkin was wonderful! Pleasant well informed, The beautiful lady pays attention to detail and made us feel very welcome. Very attentive. She even made a phone-call when we were not there on time to checkup on us and was kind enough to warm food when I was disappointed to find out that there was no microwave in the room. The fireplace setup and games layed out, great in the breakfast hall.

Pity check out was not the same lady. Check out was ok, there was a small smile but not much interest as if it was just okay give our keys and leave now. When I enquired about breakfast the response about the dietary requirement was very different to the previous nights response from checkin. I checked out before sitting down for breakfast. Breakfast was a nice lay out (for a person with no dietary requirements) however limited to what we could have due to our dietary requirements, which was not the establishments fault as I made a last minute booking and I could understand that they were not prepared for complete plant based. The kitchen staff tried - even though she did it with a smile, it seemed like we were too much effort. The tip did not even warrant a thank you. The room itself, lovely - not sure how freshly cleaned the extra blankets in the cubboard were - seemed like it was used prior. It was cold and the aircon was just blowing cold wind and took time to figure out so it was just turned off. The pillow cases also had a slight smoke smell to it. The hot water in the room was somewhat warm to lukewarm both the evening and the morning, but it was good enough to use. Hot would have been a bonus and if it stayed warmer for longer. Disposable shower caps could have been available for use.

As soon as we drove through the gates we knew we were somewhere special! This beautiful accommodation is set in a stunning location. We stayed in a delux double room with amazing views of the gardens, top pool and mountains. It is such a relaxing place to be, we wish we could have stayed longer. We had early morning commitments during our stay so we did not get to sample the breakfast. The breakfast room looked very inviting so we were sad to miss out. However we were provided with breakfast packs to take with us which was so very helpful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting by the pool and even a couple of swims! We highly recommend this accommodation. Thank you Cultivar Lodge for a lovely stay.

Wow! Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit einem traumhaften Ausblick und alles andere war auch perfekt. Sollten wir nochmal nach Stellenbosch kommen, werden wir sicher wieder das Hotel nehmen. Vielen Dank!
