The location was good and the breakfast was also good.

1. Arrival: I’d specified a time which was accepted. When we arrived we waiting very long at the gate. The buzzer kept ringing and going to voicemail, I called the number pasted on the intercom and that went straight to voicemail. We had made dinner plans and that waiting derailed us significantly. When we finally got in, I mentioned this to the lady who received us who just shrugged and told me that “maybe the intercom battery was flat” - no other concerns or regret. 2. I’d mentioned that we were celebrating my mother’s 70th birthday and that we’d appreciate any special touches. I received a message asking me what I had in mind and that it would be extra cost. I understand that you want money, hospitality needn’t cost more. There wasn’t even a towel rolled into a heart shape on the bed. Not even a note! Not even a weed flower from the garden. Those don’t cost anything. I travel A LOT, most hotels and guest houses leave welcome notes and chocolates in rooms as a standard. This was super sterile and felt like we were just a number. I wouldn’t recommend if you’re celebrating a special occasion. 3. There was a persist line of black ants in the room throughout the stay that greeted us from arrival. 4. The white bath towels had yellowed. 5. Breakfast starts really late - at 8am. On the first day, the Saturday, in fact, the dining room opened at 8:15, again derailing our morning plans. The dining/waiting staff were so sweet and kind.

Will definitely come back. The place is a GEM in every aspect
