Stardome Spiritual Experience

dinner was better than breakfast. the views from the property obviously are very special.

Hotel did not respond to messages until less than 24hr before check in, and day-of they threatened to leave us in the square of ollantaytambo for 90 min at dusk if we could not be there at exactly at the same time as the only other couple staying at the hotel (or 90 min before/after them). The hotel only has one driver, and the road up to it is so treacherous that normal taxis won't go there. I wish I'd known we'd be totally reliant on them for getting in/out, and that it would be an ordeal to schedule with them. We abandoned our lunch in another town to race to our pickup time, and the hotel said the couple we'd share the car with had kept waiting by us for 30 min. (uncomfortable). In reality, the other couple arrived 2 min before us, and wanted to vent about their own problems w the hotel. We were traveling light with 1 checked bag between the 2 of us, but there was no space for it, so the driver hurled it on top of the car and caused a 18" scratch across it, which is a shame because it's brand new, and we had asked him to let us do it for him so this would not happen as it was heavy. They checked us into a tiny room facing a stone wall, and before I had a chance to explain that it was not what we expected -- (2 months prior I noticed that my reservation didn't specify what room we were in, so I asked the hotel to clarify, and they told me it wasn't possible) -- they came in and tried to upsell us into paying more either for the room I thought I had booked, or for a suite. They kept lowering the surcharge prices until they agreed to let us stay in the room I thought we had booked. Everyone I spoke to at the hotel said they had no authority to make any decisions, and refused to let me speak to anyone in charge. I feel bad for the people who work there, who are just doing their jobs.

Amazing location up in the mountains. They added a daily drop off and pick up from town so we could explore the town at no extra cost

Food options were poor - for the price we paid for the room, we expected a more generous breakfast. The hot tub in our room never had enough hot water to use properly

O Hotel é simplesmente INCRÍVEL. Uma vista de tirar o fôlego. Tudo é muito lindo, bem cuidado. O Dome é um espetáculo a parte. A noite foi possível observar várias estrelas e durante o dia uma vista mágica para o Vale Sagrado. Um lugar de paz, para descansar após as caminhadas dos passeios. O quarto que ficamos não tinha vista, mas muito confortável, com uma cama deliciosa e um chuveiro muito gostoso. O templo de Condor é um lugar mágico, de muita espiritualidade. Na fazendinha, os funcionários nos deram mamadeiras para alimentar as ovelhas. Uma baby Alpaca linda fica solta durante o dia nos jardins do hotel. Nos buscaram pontualmente na estação de trem.

Logo na chegada fomos recepcionados por um funcionário que não me recordo o nome. Fez questão de falar inglês todo o tempo com a gente mesmo sabendo que éramos Brasileiros. Não foi um problema para nós, mas para quem não fala inglês, pode ser uma dificuldade. Chegamos a pensar que ele não falava espanhol, mas não era o caso. Foi algo que nos incomodou. Além de falar só inglês ele era um pouco rude. Explicava tudo com pouca vontade. No jantar e no café, ele que nos atendeu na mesa. No início da janta foi servido um chá, e em nenhum momento foi fornecido ou orientado sobre bebidas. Serviram o primeiro prato, e nenhuma água ou carta de vinhos. Pedimos uma carta de vinhos, e o mesmo funcionário falou que havia Branco, Tinto ou Rose. Tínhamos que escolher por estas opções, e não pelo rótulo, marca ou preço. Trouxe o vinho, sem informar o valor. Pelo nível do hotel acredito e uma pequena carta de vinhos seria ótimo. Nos serviram uma sopa de entrada, uma truta deliciosa com um risoto ok, e uma torta de sobremesa, mas nada de extraordinário. Café da manhã muito fresco e gostoso, mas também ok.

A localização é surreal. Uma experiência inexplicável.

Everything was great. Getting to the property can be a bit of challenge as it involves a mountain road. Good driver is required.

O lugar é incrível e a acomodação que escolhi, bastante confortável e aconchegante. Café da manhã e jantar foram impecáveis. O staff é extremamente solícito e foram flexíveis conosco nos horários e outras solicitações. Agradecimento especial ao Jose que nos recepcionou com muita amabilidade.

Esperienza a contatto con famiglia e fattoria locale, molto autentica. Personale molto attento, gentile e sempre disponbile, anche nel fornirci colazione al sacco durante la nostra gita a Machu Picchu e servizio navetta.

L'ubicazione é suggestiva, in alto sulle montagne. Forse un solo taxista per servizio navetta non é sufficiente, suggerisco di potenziare il servizio di trasporto con più taxisti al giorno.
