We LOVED everything - the hospitality, the location, the cottage, the wildlife... absolutely nothing not to love! And the hosts are incredible - gifts on arrival and homemade chocolates delivered during our stay was an extra bonus and super yummy!

It is a very special place. The Poplar house is a huge old house which has been restored and is really an amazing place to stay. The house has everything you need and is very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the fact that the house has lots of light and the lounge with a fireplace has an amazing view. It is located in a nature reserve with breathtaking views. Anna Claire and Karel were amazing and attended to every question and need - including making us an amazing supper for the one night. We will definitely be back.

This place is absolutely amazing. We stayed in Karoo cottage which is so tastefully restored and updated in ways to be really comfortable. When we stayed there were no other visitors on the reserve at all so we had so much space to explore it fully, it is full of animals and birds to enjoy. Cave paintings and an awesome pool or 2 we were able to take full advantage of as it was so quiet. The night sky and clear milky way was a proper highlight too. Amazing!!!

We absolutely loved the pool, and Kliphuis was beautifully decorated. Worth ordering the freshly baked bread.
