It’s close to Fraisthorpe beach which is a gorgeous dog friendly beach

Property was run down, rusty radiators, no blind in the kitchen and a broken blind in the bathroom when closing these for the night, kitchen floor had several rips but what was most disappointing was that the decking had cigarette butts on it and the hot tub was not fit for purpose, it’s covering didn’t fit and inside was huge rust marks, dirt and polystyrene balls all over and not safe to use. The pub advertised as being open was not, with no signage to state otherwise so had to drive last minute to the nearest town 20 mins away. There are no staff on site other than maintenance that clock off at 4.30pm (you can’t check in whilst 4pm so be sure to do a real quick check in that 30 minute window!) I did try to call the site and report these issues several times by telephone and had no answer, tried to contact them through booking messenger, text and via email but unfortunately nobody bothered to contact me back. Booking will also say it’s £30 for one dog but when you pay through the portal it’s £40. This was our 3rd time staying at this site and never had issues in the past and usually enjoy our stay however it has been a year since we last stayed and it seems to have really gone down hill since and we will not be staying again.

"Very poor; would not return."

2.0

Location close to coast for children and walks.

Could not lock the lodge from outside, had to leave it unlocked with our property inside. Very unclean had to wash pots prior to using them as they was left dirty. Rusty radiators, large sections of wallpaper missing, holes in flooring poorly patched up, no instructions for impossible to navigate appliances; bedding/mattress mouldy, shower disgusting condition. Many aggressive posters asking to leave lodge in condition you found it or charges would be applied of £150 automatically from the card you used to pay, arguably the lodge was left cleaner when we left than when we arrived!

Accommodation was nice in a lovely location

On site pub/restaurant was closed the entire time we was there, with no reason as to why. If This information was given then we would have stayed somewhere else. Nothing else food/drink wise apart from a different holiday site up the road where the food wasn’t the best and to get food delivered is limited to just 3 takeaways who all wanted £10 delivery fee as the site is in a very remote area with nothing nearby. A member of staff who was emptying the bins said the restaurant has been closed for about a month. This is false advertising as it states it’s open and the information we got regarding keys etc on the day said it was open. Messaged the owners of the site regarding this but message has been ignored.
