Quirky Woods - Glamping Cabins at Maketu

We loved this quirky place, we went for the Morepork Cabin which was such a lovely setting in a clearing in the woods. The skies were amazing at night. The cabin was cute and comfortable. A little fridge and kettle in the cabin for morning brekkie, while other facilities including a small kitchen, showers and toilets were a little walk away.

Only thing was that the small kitchen made it a little hard to cook at the same time as anyone else, so perhaps don’t bring anything complicated, or be prepared to wait if others there (only a few rooms so wouldn’t be long)

That u could think in piece listening to all the different birds.

There was nothing to not like.

Charlotte and Simon are such a lovely couple who run this it’s just such a perfect little get away

Beautiful spot lovely to be out in nature in the stunning secluded Chalet . Definitely will be back for a longer stay .

The property was so beautiful and peaceful every thing was perfect we didn’t want to leave

Absolutely nothing

A little piece of heaven. After a month travelling it was just what i needed. Cosy cottage was quiet and had a deck where i could do my yoga in private. The bed was so comfortable I slept like a baby for 3 nights. The kitchen was basic but enough to cook a simple meal. A hot shower and clean bathroom. Rested ready for my next bit of travel.

Beautiful location with welcoming hosts and a nice private cabin.

A fan in the cottage would’ve been amazing as the afternoon sun made the room very hot.
