- Location is close to the Mikumi National Park Main gate - Rooms were comfortable - Friendly staff who accommodated our requests - Communication was good - we were clearly told to pre-order food

- A/C was not working well - Food quality could be significantly improved - Card Machine was not working and we had to arrange cash quickly

Well-organized safari tours. Delicious meals. Spacious area.

We loved the food, the safari and transport which they arranged for us were superb. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. The vegetarian options and breakfast is outstanding. The rooms are clean with hot water and working aircon which was very comfortable. The bathrooms and communal areas were extremely clean. Highly recommend for a stay in mikumi.

Not sure what happened / how it happened but whilst checking out we had an unpleasant experience when trying to tip the staff. It was however only one person who worked behind the bar who was nagging us for a tip (after saying we shouldn’t leave the tip in the tip box as that is only for gardening staff). I explained we left a tip in the box and gave a tip to reception requesting reception shares it amongst waitering staff. This caused a big fight between the receptionist and waiters and although we couldn’t understand the language the shouting and aggressive nature made that we just wanted to leave. Staff should-be trained in this respect to not fight in the public presence. Otherwise there was one day where we had bad water pressure but this subsided quickly.

Good location for Mikumi National Park. The lodge is okay with basic facilities and it was clean.

The food could be improved as could the room decor, it was a little dated.

Nearby safaripark Mikumi, well organized safari’s. Pick Up with private taxi from Dar es Salaam went very good. Nice driver. Child friendly hotel with playground and greenery
