Ekas Surf Resort & Surf Camp

It was comfortable and the staff was very accommodating. Location was perfect for surfing and scooter was provided to get to kiteboarding spot. Had good surfing and kiteboarding days.

We had the best stay at Ekas surf resort, we stayed 10 days but could have done longer. We can’t thank the staff enough for how amazing they were, they really make the experience staying there. Everyone was super attentive, friendly and happy to help. The boat trips included with the accommodation to Inside Ekas was great, the staff helped with organising when we wanted to go. The rooms were super clean and up to date, and cleaned throughout the stay. The pool area was lovely to chill around and the restaurant/food was super good. For the price, it is worth every penny and we will absolutely be coming back. Thank you to all of the staff at Ekas Surf Resort and thank you Melissa and Dave!!!

The location is fairly close to the beach.

Highlight: it is a very overpriced place with fraudulent practices. They do not take good care of their surf equipment and then charge you full price for it if it gets damaged (in my case, almost 400$). On my very first day, the leash on their surfboard broke off on my very first wave. On my second day, their surfboard snapped during my session. The board had already been dented before, and it had already been repaired and repainted several times. Regardless, the manager (Melissa) threatened me verbally and charged me the cost of a new board plus transportation, which was almost 400$. Notice that I surfed in similar conditions before and never snapped a board in my life. Also no signs (or contracts) let the customers know that the boards are not insured (and you cannot insure them too!), and that you are liable at their total price. On top of this, their Wi-Fi was barely working, and the food costs at least two times more than in the local restaurants. Having taken several surf trips around the world, I absolutely cannot recommend this place.

Room next to the road, restaurant and mosque, very noisy. Only small table in the room to work, no other comfortable space in the resort. Very hard bed.

Small guesthouse made you feel at home and staff were extremely helpful. Isolated area but we enjoyed the quiet and did an excellent snorkeling tour.

Boat to the reef everyday

We have had a number of trips to bali and Lombok and Unfortunately this resort was a big disappointment compared to everywhere else we have stayed. We were allocated a deluxe room where you had to climb up 3 large irregular stairs just to get to the toilet. Very dangerous set up if you use the toilet during the night when you are half asleep. There were no photos on booking. Com to show this layout with the bathroom, which is deceptive advertising because we did not get the style of deluxe room we saw advertised on booking.com. The resort is very tired and needs a lot of maintenance to get it up to scratch. Our bathroom was always very messy and never felt like it had been cleaned. We left early because we were disappointed in the accomodation and resort. Food etc is very expensive at the resort. I had to pay 30000 IRD for a cup of tea!! Portion sizes for breakfast are also very small. The WIFi is terrible.
