Casa Laptici - statiunea Pestera-Padina, Bucegi

We liked practically everything. We couldn't really fault this place. In the picturesque woodland area, amongst bears and deers, in a cosy and welcoming retreat. We were greeted by the owner, which was very personal, and he was very lovely. Showed us to our rooms which hadn't happened yet, so that was lovely. Although I didn't speak fluent romanian, and my husband and family translated for me, I felt very welcome. The retreat and area was beautiful with waterfalls by the hotel, loads of outside seating and parking and a lovely resturant. We had breakfast and dinner there, and although I'm a vegetarian they catered to me so well. That was a lovely touch. And everyone said how amazing it was, the lady really cares about her job as a chef and you can tell. The rooms themselves were lovely, had a cottage feel to them with plenty of storage and wardrobes, a fridge and all you need for a cosy night in. Multamesc frumos

The only downside was the shower overfilled and flooded so only one of us got to have a shower but that wasn't such a big deal. Didn't affect the stay and would definitley return.

Beautiful location - amazing, friendly, relaxed hosts

This place is nothing like it is advertised to be. It is an example of how professional photos can deceive you. The location is nice in the forest and the rooms are clean and warm but besides that that, nothing is wonderful. And yes, they have parking.

This is an old logde that was badly refurbished: the floors creak, the wood is cracked, the paint on the walls is done baldy, the shower overflows, the rooms have mold in them! Our room vas verry small and even though in the description it was said to have a balcony, it did not. Also, old, horrible mattress. When you arive there, there is no sign, the whole yard is muddy and you cannot go to your car or to the "restaurant" without getting really dirty. There is no reception. Breakfast was decent but you have no options and there is a lot of low quality meat. But the worst part is that this whole experience is overpriced! You cannot ask for so much money for this! If the price was honest, maybe our expectation would have been lower, but no, this place is a scam at this price.

Very nice, remote location. Staff was polite and helpful. We got a larger/better room than the one booked, at no extra cost. Even if outside were -10° the location was well heated. The private 500m road to the location, was better than many sections of the main road Padina- Bolboci.
