Finca La Selvita Chocolate experience

On a adoré! Auberge en pleine nature réfléchie de manière durable. J'y ai mangé le meilleur chocolat de ma vie, appris plein de choses sur les plantes du lieux, dégusté des plats délicieux (le cuisinier met vraiment beaucoup d'efforts dans la recherche de plats originaux avec des produits ultra locaux et le résultat est incroyable !), câliné des bébés chats... que demander de mieux?! On s'y est sentis comme à la maison mais en mieux!

La experiencia desde un principio es fenomenal. El camino desde la vía principal invita a desconectarse y sumergirse en la magia de La Selvita. Una vez adentro, la atención de Polo, Álvaro y los demás voluntarios y trabajadores es siempre fenomenal. No te sientes en un hotel más: te sientes en un hogar donde compartes todo el día con mucha tranquilidad y confianza. Polo tuvo la atención de darme una cama más grande, pues no se estaba ocupado. Eso lo valoré mucho. La comida siempre fue deliciosa. Álvaro es un gran chef. Todo el equipo detrás de La Selvita hace que te olvides de haber pagado un hospedaje más, sino de haber llegado a un nuevo hogar. Le agradezco muchísimo a Polo su atención conmigo cuando se fue la luz y gestionó la planta eléctrica para yo poder seguir teletrabajando. El internet es vía Starlink y funciona muy bien. Es entendible que en esta zona del país la energía suele irse a menudo, y aunque la planta eléctrica sería incómoda y podría hacer bulla, Polo fue muy atento y me ayudó con la energía y la conexión a internet que era totalmente vital para mí. Es imperdible el tour del cacao. La experiencia es muy linda y es interesante ver cómo van turistas únicamente a hacer esto, sin necesidad de hospedarse. Vale toda la pena del mundo. Agradezco mucho a las personas que conocí allí y con toda seguridad volveré.

L’expérience a été vraiment unique, les produits et la nourriture proposés sont simplement excellent, le personnel et l’hôte aux petits soins. Je me suis vraiment ressourcé lors de mon séjour. J’ai pu profiter de la quebrada ce qui fut fort agréable. Merci beaucoup à l’équipe de la Selvita.

This is one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. It’s a place designed to disconnect from everything and reconnect with yourself, plus Polo was such an incredible host. Totally recommend La Selvita!

Es ist ein Ort zum Entspannen, im Dschungel und trotzdem was für verwöhnte Europäer, fast ein bisschen wie auf einer Almhütte. Ich habe die komfortable Einrichtung, angenehme Betten, ausreichend Platz, das gute Essen und die netten Menschen sehr geschätzt. Super Schokolade, nur argentinischer Wein würde noch gut dazu passen.

Wij hadden er met onze bagage niet zonder ezel naar toe gekund, die hadden we gelukkig bijgeboekt :-)

Super expérience! Le lieu en plein milieu de la jungle, la tranquillité, les équipements. Tout était nickel. Mention spéciale aux repas d'une qualité exceptionnelle ! Le tour de chocolat avec explications de tout ce qu'on peut trouver dans le jardin est vraiment intéressant. Petite marche d'approche de 20min, préparez vos mollets

We had such a wonderful time at the beautifully located Finca La Selvita – a place we’d love to come back to anytime. For us, it was the perfect spot to relax and just enjoy life. Surrounded by kind, warm-hearted people who create a super welcoming, family-like atmosphere. Every single day, we were blown away by the insanely delicious, creative, and diverse meals. The chef is a true artist! Everything was vegetarian and made fresh from the garden – just amazing. And the chocolate? Straight from their own cacao – a real treat for the senses. The chocolate tour made us realize just how precious and special the process really is. I definitely appreciate good chocolate so much more now! Also, fun fact: we had the most beautiful bathroom of our whole trip here! Can’t believe something so stunning exists right in the middle of the jungle. Thank you all so much!

This place isn’t just a hostel – it’s a home, full of the kindest and warmest people who welcomed us like old friends. We honestly had the best time, everything was just perfect! The place itself is absolutely beautiful – hands down the nicest one we've stayed at during our long trip through South America. You can tell every little detail was created with so much love. But the highlight (besides the cacao/fruit tour and that insanely good chocolate) was the cook, Alvaro. He blew us away every single day! Inspired by the surroundings, fresh homegrown ingredients, and his pure joy for cooking, he came up with something new and amazing every time. Huge thanks to Polo for creating this little paradise – we’re so grateful we got to visit and spend such an unforgettable time here. It’s a hidden gem in the jungle, and still not far from the ocean!
