If you are looking for simple accom (very small kitchen facilities) but with a million dollar location - this is it! We at late lunch in Chaitén after a day of hiking and then went to the cabin, walked one minute to the beach with some beers and settled in to watch the “show” - dolphins, sea lions, birds, views of Volcan Corcovado and Chiloe. Amazing. And Hector, the owner, is super kind and helpful (thank you for gift of morning coffee and the advice to switch our hiking itinerary!)

If you want to cook a meal this is not your place!

The location was superb. On the edge of the forest on the edge of the sea. Lots of wildlife - dolphin, sealion, penguin, black-necked swans. Hector, the owner, met us and lit the fire. He is very friendly. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed.

This is not a criticism - for other travellers, please note, do not expect to self-cater full meals here. You have a kettle, a frying pan, mugs, plates and glasses. Do not expect a coffee maker or anything for making full meals. It's not that sort of place - eat out - there are plenty of places locally.

Beautiful place on the beach! Sunsets with dolphins every night , with an amazing view of the volcano. The house is perfect for a little get away and very quiet.

Lovely and quiet location near the sea. Nature, dolphins, sea lions, volcano, it is all there. Hector is a kind host. He brought clean towels after 2 nights and made a fire upon request for us. Good bed, nice shower.

Right by the beach, yet tucked away in the forest - the best of everything. We saw seals, swans, penguins and dolphins close to the shore minutes after arriving. We were simply stopping over for one (very wet) night in Chaitén before catching a ferry, but Hector - our host - was so welcoming, lit a fire and made the cabin super cozy. It turned into one of our most memorable stays. Thank you!

Beautifully situated next to the sea. Very cozy cabin tucked amongst the Lucious landscape. The cabin has solid construction and a lot of charm. The bedroom was spacious and very comfortable.

The kitchen was very limited and arranged in a very uncomfortable manner for making any meals.

Very quiet, serene location just steps from a beach. You can hear the waves at night. Héctor, the host, was very committed to making sure our stay was comfortable. He started the fire in our wood burning stove for us several times. Mornings were quite chilly in early November. Located just 3 km north of Chaitén it was close to town for finding dinner spots, and close to several hiking spots. Due to a staff absence, he was not able to provide us with breakfast during our stay, but gave a discount to offset this.

The drive from the highway to the property made us think we were in the wrong spot at first …. High weeds in the roadway, a pile of stones, a seemingly abandoned van ….
