Sun and Green Eco Lodge - Dambulla

For the price okay. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked. The pool is nice and big.

It is located directly on the main street next to a gas station. Far from the beautiful Sigirija. We definitely didn’t expect that. Outside very unpleasantly loud - in the rooms it works. A bit unloving. Breakfast was also the most spartan we had in Sri Lanka. Plant very uncleanly processed.

The hospitality was excellent! Ms Gayani and Mr Banda were very friendly and warm, and we truly didn’t miss a thing. They helped us a lot, everything was very clean, and the food was delicious! They arranged our transportations, gave us tips for local attractions, and even helped us book a safari. The garden was beautiful, with a lovely pool and lush plants. Overall, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The only downside was that the mattress was a bit hard.

Sehr einfache, aber absolut saubere Zimmer. Ein traumhaft schöner Pool und es gibt Abendessen im Haus, das ausgezeichnet schmeckt!

Das Bad war sehr sehr einfach, etwas abstellen im Bad war nur sehr schwer möglich.

Un excellent accueil ! Nos hôtes nous conseille très bien et nous aide à prendre le bon bus. Ils nous ont réservé un safari de très bonne qualité, nous on conduit (une conduite douce et tranquille, appréciable) à sigiria et visiter le temple de dambulla. Nous avons dîné et pris nos petits déjeuners à l'hôtel, c'est délicieux et copieux. Une belle piscine propre dans un écrin de verdure, appréciable après un safari ou une journée de visite. Une excellente adresse !!

A bed to sleep.

Bad experience, staff really unfriendly and pushy. They became hostile real quick after they found out that we didn't book one of their overpriced tours. Expect to pay a 50% Premium if you book one of their tours.

Das Sun & Green war unsere letzte Unterkunft vor der Rückreise in die Heimat und hat uns den Abschied von Sri Lanka nochmals erschwert. Wir hatten das Baumhaus gebucht und waren begeistert von der Atmosphäre mit dem Zimmer aus rustikalen Holz umgeben von Palmen. Unser Highlight war der Pool, an dem wir uns nachmittags sonnen und morgens einige Bahnen schwimmen konnten. Insgesamt war die Unterkunft sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was wir brauchten, von Klimaanlage, über Haartrockner, bis hin zu warmen Wasser (was auf unserer Reise ein Seltenheit war).

Das Frühstück hat uns leider nicht so gut gefallen.

Die Gastgeberin hat uns mit vielen Tipps und gutem Essen versorgt. Hat sich immer wieder um uns gekümmert und geschaut, dass es uns gut geht.

Wir hatten das günstigste Zimmer, dafür war es völlig ausreichend. Für ein Doppelbett etwas klein, aber dafür ist der Pool ein Traum. Man kann den Pool bis in die Nacht hinein verwenden und die Atmosphäre ist wirklich besonders.
