Loved the peace and quiet. Everyone was very friendly and accomodating.

We were dissapointed in that we could not do a game drive in the morning as the owner was away. We also felt that it gets very hot there and the units do not have air cons or fans

Breakfast was delicious. Vegetables and salad served with main course on 2nd night, delicious, as was the dessert, the lightest, fluffiest pancake. Room and beds were comfortable and beautiful views overlooking the mountains and cattle grazing from the patio. Shower great. Farm walks and farm animals a connect with outdoors and nature. Hosts, Dane and Alma on property friendly. Uniondale a small town and friendly people. Book a tuk-tuk ride with Oom Dirkie Coetzee, he is extremely knowledgeable, entertaining and a storyteller of note, and get to explore Uniondale and learn about the history. Pop in at the Happy Hookers and support local entrepreneurs and crafts.

Would have liked to go on a game drive on the farm, alas, not available when we visited, despite being advertised and peak season, as there were a few enquires. Although communicating and making dinner reservations the 1st night, providing feedback as to dietary requirements, it somewhat disappointing that no dinner reservation made or communicated; thus dietary requirements not included, however, Alma saved the day, and we managed to get the left-overs which was tasty. A note, a slice of cucumber with guacamole or tuna is not considered a starter. Ostrich fillets were overcooked & dry on 2nd night, despite most guests advising fillets to be medium. A forced grouping of 10 guests at one table somewhat a risky business, as often one or two guests like listening to their own voices, opinionated and breaking the harmony of guests who escape from the hustle and bustle of all and seeking an escape into nature and serenity. Remote gates would have been most welcome, as the getting in out and out of the vehicle upon entering and leaving, somewhat frustrating. A pool would have been appreciated by most guests and a way to cool off in the heat. Our room was not cleaned, and upon return after a long day, bed unmade and wet towels laying on the shower floor. When enquiring told that they were busy, We made our own bed, and requested clean towels, and were first provided with vey damp clean towels at first and finally received clean dry towels. Communication key between the various team members, as we had communicated, we were leaving for the day and required housekeeping. A suggestion that the tuk-tuk ride be included on the website to enhance guests' experience.
