Second time back. Good house in great location in Walkersons, Dullstroom. All comforts and amenities one can need in the kitchen and rooms. Wifi working well. Extra great bonus that it gets serviced daily.

Some small maintenance needed.

Really great location of the property- Walkersons is a really great estate to stay at in dullstroom! Really great views and the shower was great!

Although it is self catering, there aren't the amenities available to make a proper meal unless you braai. The room was very basic and the bed wasn't the most comfortable but it was what was advertised to us. A bit pricey for what you are paying for!

The bed is hard

We had a pleasant drive from Johannesburg to Dullstroom on Friday afternoon. Our late arrival was seamless, as the host was promptly available to assist with the remote check-in process. The Hangar is a cozy room situated behind a hangar next to a private airstrip, offering unobstructed views of lush greenery, tranquil waters, and serene dams. The estate's security is exceptional, and the residents were incredibly friendly. We enjoyed leisurely walks throughout the estate without any restrictions. The hotel on the premises was convenient for both dinner and breakfast, with exemplary staff providing outstanding service. . However, this minor inconvenience didn’t detract from our experience, as we enjoyed a delightful picnic at one of the many scenic spots on the estate. Overall, The Hangar at Walkersons Estate offers a peaceful and picturesque getaway, perfect for relaxation and nature lovers.

A small kitchenette in the room would have been a great addition, as it would have allowed us to prepare hot drinks and make some food.

Excellent location and well equipped house

The estate itself is beautiful with many facilities. The town is only a short drive away, so you have the convenience of heading out for the day if you wanted to. The bathroom was very clean and modern. There were braai facilities there. The owner gave clear instructions over WhatsApp.

Whilst the bathroom was very clean the outdoor shower drain was blocked so the shower would flood. Also, the room itself was a bit dusty and the pillows smelled of sweat, making it difficult to sleep comfortably. The braai facilities and outdoor fireplace are not undercover, making it impossible to braai/make dinner if it’s raining. The outdoor wash sink also has no hot water. I think if the outdoor area had a portion that was undercover to allow you to sit outside/braai while it was raining, this score would be much much higher.
