Tadlo Lodge

Comfortable room, spacious and clean, good for an overnight on the loop, good value for the price.

Staff doesn't speak a word English, and therefore there was no communication possible , which is not such an issue to me, location quiet enough, but nothing in the immediate surroundings, you need transport to get to a restaurant somewhere.

Great location next to the waterfall, good value stop-off when doing the Bolaven loop.

Top spot location next to the river with a view over the waterfall, just outside the center. Nice spacious room and bathroom with a big deck under the trees. Clean and safe.

Very simple breakfast, a little bit overpriced.

Everything was Excellent. Best stay for those who can come with tour agencies. Viewing the waterfall outside the room was fantastic.

The location of Tadlow lodge is amazing and the bungalows are quite comfortable. It’s definitely worth stopping here if you are doing the Pakse Loop.

Staff communication in English was quite hard so ordering food and drink was difficult. Be aware that they have tourist elephants on site. They are chained and lack stimulus which is a bit depressing to witness.

Location was great

Shower hanging off wall, no water presure in the evening of our arrival and no water in the morning not even to flush toilet. We had therefore no wash but jumped in the river after a long day on our motorbikes...maybe this is what you are meant to do. The hotel is poorley maintained with walkways rotten and planks on bridges broken. Fires have been lit around the grounds all over. It really needs a clean up and some TLC...worst place overall in our 4 weeks in Laos and yet it was the most we paid.

The location is incredible, with full view of the falls from the restaurant. The lodge itself is good, with seating outdoor on the patio within view of the fallsfood is ok. The manager was good also. Room was large, and there was a working fridge.

Everything needs maintenance (but we have been finding this a lot in Laos, partly as a result of the pandemic). The rooms are hot, despite the one fan. Cleaning could be better. My biggest concern is that there are elephants on the property, and they offer rides on the elephants. If I'd known that, we never would have booked here.

In this price range in Laos I was expected a minimum of service, none were available. Communication is difficult. Staff need training. Most of the menu is not available. No fruits for juice or to eat at breakfast. The location is remote so it's not like you could pop in next door for a juice. Tables are not cleaned for hours after breakfast. At first I was told that I could pay by card, then I couldn't. Tips: Unless you have your own transport, do not bother coming here.
