Tadlo Lodge

We loved this resort set within the Tad Lo waterfall. The room and bathroom were clean. The breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were tasty also

Unfortunately for us it was a Laos public holiday so there were hundreds of people playing music exceptionally loud. This took away from the reason why we chose to stay here. This isn’t the fault of the resort but it did affect our overall experience

They had elephants in captivity

The staff was really nice and tried their best, restaurant was also very good, good variety of food.

Hot water didnt work and no internet in the room, overall quality of room can be upgraded.

Amazing setting amongst natural surroundings along the river.

The view of the waterfall from the restaurant was priceless. Within a short walk, you can get to another waterfall from the lodge. The room and bathroom were very spacious with a lot of shelves. The staff were all very polite and nice.

I know that the lodge is in the middle of the nature. I’ve seen many insects or lizards in the rooms I have stayed in the past many times. But here, there were a swarm of ants in the bathroom, which they should control.

slightly rundown

Location is what its all about with this accommodation. Basic cabins right next to the river, and the waterfall seen easily from the restaurant, with nature all around. The staff are helpful and friendly and the food was nice even if a bit on the expensive side, but there are other options in the village. I was happy to have a mozzie net over our bed,, but the fan wasn't required as it was cool in the room. The bed was comfy for us. Totally recommend this place as long as you are not looking for luxury!

If i had anything to suggest as an improvement it would be to have a fridge for hotter days, but we certainly didn't miss having one.
