Friendly manager, directions sent beforehand, clean facilities nd adequately equipped, very relaxing environment, guides & PH were very knowledgeable and helpful.

I booked the 4 sleeper chalet and indicated on the booking that I booked for 2 people (booking stated that only if you are more than 2 people, you would pay extra). When I called to enquire about the hunting options, I was informed that the chalets were already fully booked but that there was a 2 seater tent available. I was however later told to keep my booking unchanged on Booking.com which I thought meant that the chalet had become available again. When my son arrived at the lodge, they were then placed in a tent and not in a chalet. So - first lesson, check directly with the property before you assume that your booking is correct. All prices quoted via whatsapp beforehand were different to what was on the website and read the fine print on the last page in font size 6 - excludes VAT (highly unusual for a SA establishment). Second lesson - check pricing directly and remember to add 15% for VAT. Only after I queried the price difference between the tent and the chalet, was I told that even if I only booked for 2 people, I would have ended up paying for 4 - Lesson 3: their arrangements are different to what is listed on Booking.com. In all the years as a Genius 3 client, have I not had these issues with Booking.com. Lesson 4: it's freezing in the tent in winter time.

Comfortable accommodation for our first night in South Africa after an overnight flight. We were the only guests as a mid week stay and out of season. Site was lovely and quiet. Would recommend booking large, tasty dinner and breakfasts. Note that the property requires a security deposit of 1000 rand in cash. As we were forewarned this was not an issue for us and then we used it to settle our food bill.

The property is not in Vaalwater as per booking.com map. It is 30km north of that town. This is a hunting farm. This did not make any difference to our stay but had I known I may not have booked this property.

This is a beautifully kept property, accommodation is clean and roomy. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful, we had dinner and it was lovely. We were a large group and everyone had a great time.

Very beautiful Ranch. Friendly supportive people. The place was very neat and clean. Fresh air and see the wild life. Stunning place.

My booking went through on Booking. Com but the property was full. More than a week later, I still have not received my refund
