Woodpecker Lodge with Hot Tub

I liked how comfortable and clean was the place Very calm and quiet

I didn't like that the kitchen was missing some equipment and pans get the food sticky so needs to be changed.

Very peaceful and quiet, comfortable, easy check in and out, spacious clean lodge, nice location Pub onsite was good, staff were helpful, 2hr early check in was a bonus Warmed up very quickly with the heating and fire, shower was lovely

It needs a bigger TV, theres no lamps or low lighting in the bedrooms or living room which would have been nice for the evening, it was either have all the lights off or have the very bright lights on. Also although i was told before our stay there was an iron, there wasnt!! There was an ironing board but no iron, luckily reception loaned us one, but it needs one. The hot tub must have had a filter or jet thing fixed at some point, as the quick bodge (it seems) made to fix it meant there were 2 very sharpe screws sticking out right where you put your feet, i cut both heels on these screws, which meant I couldnt put any shoes on the following day so I couldnt go anywhere which ruined a day of our 3 day break, reception was informed just hope it was addressed before the next guests. Only other thing was we paid the extra £26 for the Valentines Romantic package treats, it said rose petals scattered on the bed, prosecco and a cake, it was artificial rose petals which were a tad disappointing and a small box of chocolates not the cake as pictured or booked with our bottle of prosecco. Replys to Messages to booking.com and allerthorpe park are a little slow and JJs restaurant never responded to my messages to book a table prior to our stay. All things that just could have made our stay absolutely perfect

The lodge was perfect. Had everything we needed. Hot tub was brilliant. It was all very clean and modern.

TV could be bigger for the size of the lodge. Any bad weather signal for TV Goes off.
