Location Relaxed atmosphere

No hot water

The character of the house. Definitely not the Hilton, but you know that when you book. Basic kitchen facilities to make breakfast and cook if you want. Location is excellent. The resident dog was a good companion for all. The positives to me outweigh the negatives. We are staying on an island country in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, consequently facilities at this price are going to be basic. If you cannot handle that, you can always pay $150 a night and still have roosters and dogs.

I could rave on about little things eg - hot water is hit and miss. Yep,, the roosters are definitely there, but they add to the atmosphere . Dogs do bark.

That fact that it was inexpensive..

Located in Alofi handy to shopping area, restaurants.

Very annoying loud traffic noises almost continuously into the late evenings as this facility is located very adjacent to the main road. Many dogs barking nearby into tthe night. Many roosters crowing early mornings. Cooking facilities limited by broken microwave oven, and broken elements on top of range. Broken toaster was replaced.

Close to the city centre.

We stayed here in 2012. I was really excited to come back and possibly see the positive changes that may have come through. Was highly disappointed, back deck was closed off, only two elements working, oven not working, lock on one door faulty, power had run out (lucky brother was around) I try to overcome negatives with positives but it was hard to do in this review.

Location, price, welcoming

Two rooms face the street and two rooms face the beach side. You can hear the cars during the morning time. Additionally, behind the shower is some mold which you can smell inside the bathroom. Non functional WiFi.
