The bathroom was dirty and clearly had not been cleaned in a while. I found chewing gums just sitting in the middle of the sink, the toilet was broken, shower was dirty. No toilet paper, no rug... very... rustic

This place is completely falling apart. Our room was a hut on stilts, with no walls, just a wooden roll down blind, the bed was covered with a mosquito net that probably hasn’t ever been washed, the decking outside the second room had a massive hole in it, easy to fall into in the dark. We were eaten alive by the mosquitos, my 9 year old cried to sleep because he didn’t want to lie down on the end, my husband slept on the day bed, the sheets were stained and he had a falling apart mosquito net that we were scared to touch. The ceiling fan looked like it was going to come off the ceiling when it was turned on so we had to keep it turned off. It was the worst nights sleep I’ve ever had. There is nowhere to eat in the vicinity as it’s in the middle of nowhere, we were given a menu but looking at the state of this place and the kitchen we were not going to eat anything from there. Really should be taken off booking.com

AULocation is amazing
AUPerfect location in front of the wave. Very quiet spot, as there is no through road. Amazing view of Mt Agung on clear mornings.
ESGreat location right by a good surf break. The place used to be in part a school/orphanage but the Australian owner passed away and now the place is quite run down. It used to be high quality accommodation, but is now rather neglected. If you don't have high expectations then you won't be disappointed.
It's run down, though it wouldn't take much effort or cost to sort the place out.
ZAWe were there for the surf and it’s the perfect location and accommodation for surfers who are there just to surf. Beautiful location, right on the beach, amongst the beautiful green jungle.
AUThe room we booked was beautiful, just like in the pictures. It's a thoughtfully designed space that blends perfectly with the surrounding nature. In terms of size, the room is quite spacious and even has a mini fridge, which is not very common. Communication with the owner was excellent — he replies quickly to messages on WhatsApp and is available for any questions or concerns."
Keep in mind that this place is located away from the city, in a small village that you can reach with a 15/20 minute walk. There you can find supermarkets, places to eat and even a bar. If your plan is to relax and disconnect, it's an excellent option.
