Lack of napkins/ paper towels. Not a huge issue, just make sure to bring your own.

Pre-arrival communication was excellent. The host, Fabio, asked for an arrival time and he was ok when I modified it. He met us on arrival, gave us a tour of the house, information about the town, and we paid for the house in cash. He doesn’t speak English but Google translate helped a lot. The Good: We loved the area around the house. The lush tropical garden and the beautiful view of Arenal (when the weather cooperated!). We loved seeing and hearing the beautiful birds. The house was spotless. We had a well equipped kitchen (no oven) to cook. There was plenty of hot water for all three of us to shower back to back. The wifi was fast. There was an air conditioning unit in each bedroom to keep the rooms comfortable. It cooled down the rest of the house pretty quickly as well. It was nice to have a washer for our clothes. However, there is no dryer so clothes needed to be hung to dry. Do not plan on washing clothes your last night because you will be packing wet clothes. We had requested a few items during our stay. Fabio answered our WhatsApp request each time right away. While my list of not-so-good was a little long, we still liked this place. The price is right and the front porch feels like heaven with all the flowers and Arenal view. We had a comfortable night’s sleep. The house is perfect for a short stay. With extra towels and trash bag without asking for it, I’d say this house is good for a longer stay as well. I’m happy to recommend this place despite some of the shortcomings.

We stayed 5 nights. The sink only had a small dish drying rack. It wasn’t big enough to stack our dishes. We wanted to dry our dishes with a towel, but we only got one for the kitchen. There was only one extra trash bag in the unit. We used it in the kitchen. Since you can’t flush toilet paper, the trash can caused the bathroom to smell after our 2nd day. The shower didn’t drain by the 2nd day – presumably from hair clogging the drain. The two A/C units are right outside the second room and are very loud. There are so many keys!! They could be marked by color to know which door each of them goes to. With a 5 night stay, it would have been nice to have an extra set or change of bath towels. Some other oddities, there is a big hole in the main door on the floor. We were greeted by creatures who decided to enter from there into the house. And finally, the shower head had some electronic machine on it (maybe the water heater?). There was exposed wiring which didn’t seem right.

From the listing online, I was expecting a "cabina" , and was surprised to find out that it is a full on two-bedroom house with a huge, gated yard, laundry room, and all the rest .A pleasant surprise for my grandson, who was hoping to fish, was the huge La Fortuna River at the end of the road. Peace and tranquility, lots of birds, and on a clear morning a spectacular view of the volcano.

The view of the volcano was beautiful from the property. The property was very clean and we had plenty of space for the four of us to feel comfortable during our stay. We were there for a short time and packed a lot of activity into our stay, we didn't spend a lot of time at the property.

Locacion is very very good. Very beautiful property,very quiet.

The windows didn’t have screens, so the lizards would come in.

It was perfect getaway at the end of a quiet road a few minutes drive from stores and restaurants. The house and gardens were immaculate and very comfortable.
