Grunberg Haus Inn & Cabins

If you want something unique, this is the place. The owners have curated a truly one of a kind experience. We travel a ton and this is one of our favorites!

The building is quirky and interesting. Our room was at the top, with a private balcony. Lovely location in a valley a few miles outside of Waterbury.

The lighting in our room was dim, making it difficult to read. Would have liked a choice of food at breakfast.

We love visiting the Grunberg Haus! Leah & Duane are wonderful hosts, and cook a delicious breakfast for their guests. Comfortable bed, record player with LPs in the rooms, beautiful surroundings, a fun place to be!

Dining is not around the corner. As a solo traveler without kids it really isn’t not a problem for me.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming bed and breakfast for a relaxing weekend getaway, and it was absolutely delightful! From the moment we arrived, the cozy atmosphere and warm welcome made us feel right at home. The room super special, with a thoughtful collection of vinyl to listen to, and with a perfect mix of comfort and character. Leah, the owner, was an incredible host—she not only made us feel like family, but she was also the most excellent conversationalist and chef. We looked forward to the delicious, homemade breakfast each morning, that truly set the tone for a great day. Her local recommendations were spot-on and helped us explore the area in the best way possible. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with personal touches and wonderful hospitality, this B&B is the perfect choice. Can't wait to return!

A super interesting and colorful hotel to spend time. A very welcoming host, especially considerate with our kids, most hospitable in every way.

My wife is allergic to dogs and the local husky albeit super friendly affected her.

Eclectic decor in a cozy inn with kind hosts and comfortable amenities. Would definitely return.
