Villas Costa Papagayo

Location

Old worn sunbeds and dirty pool. Not cleaned the whole week. Reported the broken sunbeds. Was told ‘they can’t be replaced’. Poor response Bars were sticking up through them into our backs.

Great location; accommodation was spacious and clean; great little enclosed courtyard with washing machine and hanging space; lots of outdoor space; 10 minutes walk from the beach/town; 3 minutes drive from Aldi; parking off road, 1 minute from the villa; quiet while we were there.

The wifi was an ongoing issue through the week, and although the staff did their best to sort it (and were very pleasant when trying to help) it was intermittent and unreliable, so we needed to hot spot quite a bit when 'at home'. For March, the weather was a little cool, but the villa has heating (as well as air con for cooling in the summer) so we were glad of that. Otherwise, all good.

Lokalita bola skvelá, príjemnou prechádzkou cez park s detskym ihriskom za cca 8-10 minut na pláž, na výber ich bolo viacero. V blízkosti bolo tiez viacero obchodov (Aldi, Hyperdino, Spar), a bol to len kúsok do centra Playa Blanca. Parkovanie bolo bezproblémové, pred objektom. Síce sme vilu (c.10) trocha hladali, ale inak je perfektne lokalizovaná, je v nej dostatočné sukromie, je priestranná a dobre vybavená. Mali sme v nej maximálne pohodlie. Kuchyňa bola zariadená primerane, riad pre 4 ľudí, kávovar, umývačka riadu, aj ostatný kuchynský riad. Vila č. 10 bola bungalov, v každej miestnosti bola klíma, funkčná, v chladný večer sme ňou aj prikurovali. Terasa je prerfektná, s ranným slnkom, večer so západom slnka, dal sa na nej tráviť čas počas celého dňa. Vybavená bola 4 lehátkami aj jedálenským stolom.

V kúpelni v sprche bol zle vyspádovaný odtok, takže po sprchovaní nastala v kúpelni potopa, bolo nutné to okamžite utierať a dávať na to pozor, lebo podlaha sa mokrá šmýkala. Bazén bol chladný, s čím sme samozrejme počítali, kedže sme boli ubytovaní vo februári, ale pre otužilejších sa dá bazén využiť určite počas celého roka. Inak bola vila super.

This is our third time here so obviously we like it despite the reservations we also have. There has been some upgrading since our last visit including a new shower and living room furniture. It's private and quiet (depending on your neighbours). The location is good - a short walk to the main town and restaurants and not far to the marina along the boardwalk. There's a good Aldi along the main road 8-10 mins walk. It's lovely to have a private pool even though it was too cold to go in!

It's very sparse. One toilet roll and no soap. No water in the fridge (small things but make a big impact after a long journey). The kitchen is fairly well equipped but there's 1 tiny saucepan and 1 huge one. Only 4 mismatched mugs and 3 wineglasses. The shower floods the bathroom when in use as there's no lip to stop the water flowing out - a simple fix. WiFi went on and off and TV signal was intermittent. Bed linen is thin. If you're a first time visitor there are no instructions on the location of the villa within the complex and no signage. You go in at the bottom of the complex next to the cleaners stores and opposite the bins in the carpark. Once inside turn left past Hola Villas and go along to the end, to Villa 10 (single storey) and Villa 11 (2 storey). They are not marked Villas Costa Papagao. It would be so helpful if there was signage!!

Die Lage ist ideal zur Erkundung der Gegend. Gute Busverbindugen, man kommt ohne Auto aus. Obwohl das Haus an einer Straße liegt, war es ganz ruhig. Gute Küchenausstattung charmante Terrasse.

Am Tag der Ankunft war die Terrasse voller trockener Blätter, die auch suf dem Pool schwammen. Am nächsten Tag wurde aber sauber gemacht.

Great location and really private. Ten minute walk to seafront, beaches, bars & restaurants. When booking I was under the impression we had booked the two storey villa but were actually in the one storey. Villa is really spacious & was spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds & furniture. Kitchen is well equipped.

Directions to the entrance to this particular villa could be better. Also the WiFi/internet was a bit hit & miss. We were disappointed to find that the coffee machine listed in the description was faulty & did not work at all. We raised this immediately as we love our morning coffee & got daily promises & excuses from the agent that it would be replaced but it never appeared. In saying that we would book this villa again.
