Handy location for event we attended

Outside is nothing like picture, overgrown with bushes couldn't see name or number of Lodge, couldn't open windows due to bushes growing against them. 4.40 pm evening before stay had a message to ring host to say a part was missing for the gas, she had been waiting for gas man all week but let her down, meaning no hot water for shower and no cooking facilities. Did offer the use of a shower in another lodge the 2nd night but Icold showers the first. It was far too late at this stage to book anywhere else, we had an event to go to so we had to stick with it. A shame but the lodge was not very clean, in need of TLC. Had a feeling the site wasn't the most welcoming. Went to other cabin for shower and noticed the cooker there had blue tape all over it too. Was really looking forward to this stay having booked it about 6 weeks previous.

Daffodil Lodge is brilliant. It is situated in lovely surroundings, very quiet. The Lodge was so clean, plenty of room to park and equipped with everything you need. We had lovely hot showers, I would definitely recommend a stay there.

The beds were a little uncomfortable and the latch on the gate was a bit tricky but it would not deter a further visit.

You can have as many heaters as you’d like but when there inefficient there pointless ,the whole cabin is freezing ,no heating in bathroom and the bedroom heater a lit match would give you more heat . The cleaner need sacking the whole place needs a deep clean , the building is from the 90’s and showing its age ,it’s the worst one on the park it’s tired and ragged ,the guy next door was wood treating ,the cabin we stopped in must of been purchased in the 90’s and now they’ve done nothing since . There’s nothing bright and cheerful as the name suggests daffodils spring as sprung .

There’s no instructions on how to use the controls of the heaters or the tv , so glad we travel with our own tv box that receives Netflix ,apple and Amazon all in one place - couldn’t get normal tv never mind anything more no instructions book - “we didn’t like anything “

Location was great, lodge was nice. Facilities were good

The site is amazing, the Lodge itself could do with a little update of furniture maybe, but the price is reflected and we were more than happy!

The sofa was a bit too worn if I have to be critical, but honestly nothing to moan about

Lovely and quiet location

Bridge is now blocked to hotel and easy access to walk to town- this is nothing to do with owners though!
