"Incredible room and lovely facilities!"

We loved the value for money we received! Private pool and fire dome! Very happy. Our rooms were incredible! Nice friendly cleaning lady and staff

The kids activities were promised but what was delivered was quite underwhelming. The cupcake decorating activity was 1 hour late and when it arrived, it was whipped cream on that day’s breakfast muffins from the buffet. This kind of thing continued the whole day, the freeze dancing was literally pausing and playing music. rather don’t promise this kind of service if it is done so half-heartedly

"Wonderful staff and location but disappointing homes that have not been maintained."

Beautiful views. Lovely big home. Awesome friendly and helpful staff.

The property has not been maintained well. Half the lights in Villa 74 were not working. The heat pump for the outdoor pool was not on so the pool was freezing. The geyser and heat pumps for the villa itself were not switched on so we had freezing showers. There was no gas bottle for the gas braai and no instructions for the gas fire place. The main burner on the gas stove does not work so we could only use the plates around it. These things make a difference because we paid a lot of money for the property and expect it to be in good order.

We stayed at Zebula Private Game Reserve for one night and unfortunately left feeling frustrated and disappointed, especially considering the premium price we paid. Our guided game drive, which was quite expensive, was cut short due to lightning—which we completely understand for safety reasons. However, there was no offer of compensation, partial refund, or even a follow-up, which felt dismissive. The main house had no hot water, the pool table was damaged, and to top it off, we woke up the next morning to a complete power outage (not the lodge’s fault, but still frustrating given the overall experience). What really soured the stay was the checkout process. We were accused of stealing a kitchen knife—despite the fact that we didn’t even cook during our visit. I explained this multiple times, yet my driver's license was withheld until I returned an item I never took. After a stalemate, I asked how we could resolve the issue. I was told I could simply pay R40 for the knife. I offered R50 in cash, and was told no change could be given and no card payment could be processed due to a lack of signal. I paid the R50 just to be able to leave. The R50 isn't the issue—it's the culmination of several inconveniences and the insulting accusation that really left a bad taste. To be fair, I called reception and asked to speak with a manager before posting this review. The manager called me on Easter Saturday, apologised, and said a more senior operations manager would contact me after the long weekend. I appreciated that gesture, but as of now, I still haven't heard back. We expected far better service and professionalism from a lodge of this calibre. Sadly, we won't be returning.

The environment good. The reception area/ club house very neat and the staff were friendly

The environment was good. However some of the things in the house needs maintainance e.g the gas heater and aircondition in one of the room was not working. The kett;e also gave some problems.
