Sunrise of Tambopata

The family who runs this business is really nice. Picked me up in the early morning. Breakfast is very and varies from day to day. Room is protected with mosquito nets. Nice terrace with view on the river. Beds are very good, shower is nice. Everything was clean and tidy.

Manuel and his family are the best, most welcoming hosts Delicious breakfasts and juices Warm showers and clean rooms Lovely to wake up in the jungle! Incredibly helpful hosts with airport pick up/drop off and organising all of our trips - we did piranha fishing, lake Sandoval and island of the monkeys. Would recommend all 3! I would love all my family and friends to experience staying here!

Wi-Fi was patchy and doesn’t work in the rooms really Have to go with the flow a little on timings for the trips - but they were all really great!

A special little spot right on the river. Quiet. Calm. Spotlessly clean and excellently maintained cabins. The family are adorable! They cannot do enough for you to make your stay easy and pleasant (but they also give you your privacy). We unfortunately were there during a cold spell but they gave us extra blankets (unexpected for the rainforest!). A sweet housecat to pet too.

No hot water but I suspect it worked on solar and there was no sun during our stay! Also not a problem if you manage to avoid a Friajes (cold spell).

Loved everything about this place! Beautiful and relaxing spot, very clean, it was a bit chilly at night but the hosts gave us extra blankets. The hosts are just amazing! They recommended some tours for the family (which were great!) and took care of everything, dropped us off and picked us up. We also had homemade diner there which was really great! Cannot recommend this place enough!

It was amazing!!! We were in the Amazon!!! Emanuel & his family gave us the warmest welcome to their home. The place was amazing and the wooden houses inside the jungle by the River so clean & comfort with view that we felt so relaxed 😎 after so many (amazing) days trekking & climbing Andes mountains. Every morning Emanuel offered us tasteful breakfasts with so many flavours & unforgettable exotic fruit juices!!! Moreover they cooked for us dinners with so fresh fishes, vegetables & fruits! Delicious! The helped us & organised us daily tours to the jungle & the river to see and feel the wild life & nature! Last but not least they were so kind that transferred us to & from airport & to the village to have a drink and dinner. You gave us big hug 🤗 my friend and you know Emanuel you can come to Greece with your family, an open invitation :) Eleni & Pantelis

It was all amazing!

Everything! But most of all, we were treated so well by Manuel and his family who own the lodge. They cooked the most delicious, healthy, mostly organic meals. They took us on a walking tour of their farm nearby. The tours they sent us on were all wonderful and we saw lots of wildlife. The cabin was very clean, cool, comfortable with hot water and good wifi. Falling asleep to the sound of the water and having a direct view of the river while lying in bed was such a treat. We could have easily stayed longer and would love to be back. It felt more like a home stay than a lodge, which we loved, especially since we were traveling with our young daughter. It was also very helpful that Manuel picked us up himself from the airport. He and his family went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Thank you so much!

The cottages are super clean and the family that runs the hotel is very very nice! We stayed for two nights and had breakfast and dinner in the hotel both nights. It was so delicious. We booked the tour directly through them so they drove us and picked us up which was very convenient.

Sunrise was the perfect place for us to stay during our time in the Peruvian Amazon. Emmanuel and his family are incredibly inviting and treated us like family. Emmanuel helped schedule all of our tours (we did a night boat ride to see the sunset and the caimans, a trip to see the clay lick which was amazing, and a visit to local lake in the reserve). The space is beautiful, well kept, and so peaceful. We loved waking up each morning to the sound of the beautiful birds and breakfast and dinner were very tasty. We would highly recommend making Sunrise your home base for your amazonian adventures :)
