"Nice place with hospitable owners"

9.0

The host family is very nice and hospitable, and the cabins at the farm are comfortable. There are two solid wood beds with good mattrasses, fans and mosquito nets - all you need for a good night sleep. I must even say that we had a better sleep here that in other homestays or even some hostels. I think it's also because it's a cabin on stilts, not a room upstairs in a house, so the temperature is better. You can also have a warm shower here, and make yourself a coffee or tea as there is an electric kettle in the cabin. We had a nice time here.

The farm is not very close to the town centre. Some people prefer locations like this because of the wonderful peace and quiet but if you don't have a car or bike, you need to rely on tuktuks. This is not a complaint - it's just information. I also recommend arranging a trek before you arrive, because if the owner (who is also a guide) is not there because he left for a 3-day jungle trek with a group of guests, you need to get to the town and buy a trek from a different tour operator. Our mistake, anyway.

"Quiet get away"

8.0

It was so nice and quiet. We could hear the birds singing. It was just lovely! At night it cooled down quite a bit and the temperature was lovely.

During the day it was so hot. We couldn't stay in the rooms.

"Trek and Farmhouse review"

9.0

The place was very nice with a room and separate bathroom (including hot water). Wifi good, mosquito nest and hamac directly at the entrance of the bungalow. The host (named Sart) and his wife are very nice. They cook food every night and it is tasty. If you want go to restaurant, as the center of the city is around 2-2.5km, I suggest you to rent a scooter (Sart can provide you this service if needed, or he can help you to find some tuktuk). Moreover, Sart has a mushroom farm. Interesting to see and he can explain you how it is working. The part I enjoyed the most was the 2-days trek with him and another guide in the jungle. The experience was amazing (I was lucky, we were a small group of only 5 tourists), we walked a lot in the jungle, swam in the river, make a camp close to it, eat small river fishes in the morning, get the chance to listen some howler monkeys in the morning etc. The 2nd day, we also swam a in a waterfalls. Sart is a great guide and taught us a lot about various plants, trees etc. Very interesting and I spent a really nice time. I am not telling everything in order to not spoil your experience if you decide to come. Every experience is different too as the forest is unpredictable :). I was there during the dry season and I hope to come back one day during the raining season to see the difference. I definitely recommend this place, it is confortable, the value for money is very good and the trek experience was fantastic. I will keep great souvenirs from there.

Nothing. I will come back one day for a longer trek :).

A great place to stay if you come in Ratanakiri. The owner are a beautiful and kind family, always smiling and happy to help. She cooks delicious food (breakfast lunch and dinner) He also offers treks in the forest from 1 to 5 6 days even more if you want. For a very good price and different tours off the beaten path. The cabin is spacious, big comfy bed with fan and mosquito net. Hit shower and toilet. Balcony with hammock and chairs. Good wifi and good coverage with Metfone We really had a wonderful stay at their place!!

It's a bit far from down town but it's a good thing because you stay in a smaller village with nice vibe. There's a volleyball and pétanque ground 5min walking away. And there are small shops so you can easily find food and drinks He can pick you up in town so it's definetely not a problem.

"Authentic experience"

10.0

The experience was amazing. Very authentic and local. The 2 days hike was very nice and the host Saat (sorry I don’t write it correctly) is very kind and dedicated to give us the best experience. I also did a city tour where he explain to us the region and we met people that live there. You can see that he likes what he is doing. I would come back anytime! Thank you for giving me the best experience in Cambodia.

"Incredible host family with a fantastic private bungalow"

10.0

Wow. This is one of, if not, the BEST homestays I’ve ever stayed in on my travels. The private bungalows were spacious, clean, hot water, a good mosquito net and an added bonus of having a kettle in the room. This being said, the thing that really made my stay was the owner and his family. He was so kind and helped with anything I needed without being too pushy or forcing anything upon me. He truly wants the best for his guests and, as a new business, is learning every day! Sharing family dinner every night, his wife’s amazing cooking with huge portions and his incredibly cute and cheerful daughter - thank you so much for leaving a great impression of Cambodia on my last few days here♥️😊

"Very nice stay here, would definitely come again."

10.0

I was out and about in Banlung, looking for a place to book jungle treks from. So I was able to compare this to a lot of other places and I would say, you can barely get a better accommodation than here. It's kinda overlooked for how much you get for such a little pricetag. The breakfast was also really nice, and quite cheap also. Could be a littler closer to the city, but I really liked it being out of the way and in a relaxed corner on the edge of Ratanakiri village. The room was equipped quite nicely and the bed was super comfy. Slept really well here (using earplugs tho, you will have dogs barking - but thats pretty much always the case in any guesthouse out here.)

"Wonderful Stay and Trek with Welcoming Hosts!"

10.0

I had a wonderful stay at this family-run farmhouse, and enjoyed the jungle trekking and day tour that they organized for me. I couldn’t ask for more welcoming or accommodating hosts! Communication was easy before my arrival, and they were even waiting to pick me up from the bus station when I got to Ratanakiri! I was also invited to join the family for a birthday dinner celebration, which was lovely to share with them. Staying here was a great experience, and a fantastic way to learn about the local culture and communities. Definitely a highlight of my time in Cambodia!! I highly recommend staying here to support a family-run business, and booking a tour if you have time!
