Ratanakiri Farmhouse & Trekking

Very charming place, basic but clean and cosy. You get to know your hosting family and learn more about their business activities. Ideal for travelers who want to know Cambodia from within.

Nothing worth mentioning.

The owner Sart and his family were the most hospitable hosts you could ask for. His wife cooks good food for a very affordable price. They don't have a set menu but we ate omelette with baguette, fried noodles and curry there. He was happy to arrange whatever activity we would like and didn't charge extra for activities arranged by others such as riding elephant even though he arranged everything. He only charged for the tuk tuk ride there and back.  The rooms and bathroom were simple but clean and had wifi. In the nights you could see a lot of stars and hear true sounds of crickets.

The rooms were a little bit small. The hot shower heated the water as it was flowing so the water flow was a little weak.

Very nice homestay if you want to do a trek in the Banlung area. Our bungalow was really confortable and clean, the food was really good, and we had a great time during the 2-day trek organized directly by the owner!

Absolutely loved my stay here. A very welcoming family environment by the countryside. Truly relaxing. There's a lot to do in Banlung so after busy days whether you're exploring waterfalls, trekking or elephant touring, it's great to come back here and relax. The home cooked meals are incredibly delicious and Sat is always around to help you with anything you may need. I booked three nights but ended up staying six! It's great money for value, I would definitely recommend this place!

If you decide to do a trekking tour Sat is your guy! But if he is not available he will guide you to another company. However, be aware that which ever tour you pick, it might be different to his tour. Therefore your experience will be under the company's responsibility, not his. Take this into consideration when leaving a review!

We spent a wonderful week with this family who were kind, welcoming and took very well care of us. The food was always delicious, the little girl was a clown to play with and both parents were smiling and generous people. We went on a 2 days trek with the owner and had an amazing time in the jungle, eating fresh caught fish and red ants, learning about local plant's uses and more generally about the Ratanakiri area and it's minorities. We will definitely be back sometime!

The matress in our bungalow was a little bit worn out so it wasn't the most comfortable but for the price we payed it was more than ok.

They allow me to do early check in for free, very clean space and lovely host. I enjoy my stay, food and the dogs. Love the whole experience. Highly recommend

Hello everyone. This is my first time in Banlung and I want to share my personal experience of the place I am staying right now. The day I came here in Banlung, I found a very nice and peaceful place. I didn’t think I would stay here for one week. I was planning to stay for two days and leave, but the place I am staying is too beautiful, peaceful and the owner of the place is very kind and helpful. His wife and daughter are both very nice and welcome you with a smile. A few days ago, I found out that my ATM card wasn’t working internationally. So I told the owner of the place and he helped me to get some money in Cambodia. There are many nice examples of how they helped me. As a solo traveller, things are a bit difficult to manage alone, but this homestay helped me a lot and guided me to nice tourist places in Banlung. I highly recommend this place if you guys are coming here for the first time, because this place is super cheap, affordable and has a nice view. And sorry about my English, it isn’t good enough to explain.
