Villa Rukaththana UNAKURUWA

New and very clean. There is a bit of mold on some of plumbings and balcony doors, but just a veeeery little bit and dew to a wet climate. Overall, I wanted to book this guest house in the first place. Then i saw some negative reviews and changed my mind. It was a mistake! I booked another place in the area and ran away from it next day to villa Rukathathana. I guess it was a destiny ))) Nice place, very clean and new. Clean and new towels, clean bedsheets. Comfy bed - even though it s prolly 160 cm, not 180-200. Discount for longer stay ( we booked one night and ended up staying entire week). Kitchen: You can't use the stove, but you CAN USE the rest of the kitchen. You can use the fridge, the utencils - like forks and plates, sinks, all the cupboards and an electric cattle. You can also use tables outside and eat your own fruits there or order breakfast. 2 steps away from the Silent beach and a 10 min walk to "no waves" Unakuruwa beach (by the way, lots of ticks on Unakuruwa beach, if you go that way please bring some spot on drops for flea and ticks for local dogs). You can use a big washging machine and do your laundry for a fee of 1000 lkr (it s cheap, considering how many kgs you can fit into that machine). Staff was respectfull and pretty much aswered all the requests. The owner speaks English.

Crazy neighbour on our side of the house. He would scream at night on some occasions and run naked on his property at like 4 am. (room 02). But if you sleep tight and with A/C and windows shut down it s ok. No other rooms (due to where their windows are) can hear that neighbour, so dont worry.

Nice location, very close to the beautiful beach. Natural surroundings are peaceful.

The fotos of booking.com are better then the actual case. It shows shared kitchen, but once arrived, it is. Ot allowed to use the kitchen. It shows nice picnic tables outside. But this is now as restaurant set up. With pizza. Not the food we were looking for in Sri Lanka. Also the garden looks better then the fotos. The owners parks his car in front of the lounge chairs. So bye bye nice view. Our room had a bathroom outside on the hallway. We did not like the overall vibes and we left after 1 night. The owner was okay with that.

I don’t like the area, I didn’t sleep well because crazy neighbours was very noisy, also I didn’t like personal they was no friendly, and the territory was not clean.

Saubere Villa mit grossem Zimmer und Geminschaftsbalkon

Die Küche ist NICHT zu verwenden!!! Kein Kühlschrank. Direkt in der Villa ist nun ein Restaurant. Der Sitzbereich ist nun fürs Restaurant. Der Nachbar schrie (auch in der Nacht) laut herum. Bett viel kleiner als angegeben!!

Saubere Unterkunft, warmes Wasser, freundliche Gastgeber:innen

Küche darf nicht mehr benutzt werden, ist leider in der Beschreibung nicht so angegeben. Nachbar:innen sind teilweise nachts sehr laut.

Gute Lage, nah am Strand. Gut funktionierende Klimaanlage. Außen schön gepflegt.

Die Küche kann man sich sparen. Keine Teller, kein Besteck nur 4 Tassen und ein Wasserkocher! Den Herd darf man nicht benutzen und es gab keinen Kühlschrank! Also, Küche komplett unbrauchbar. Zimmer hat auch keinen Kühlschrank gehabt. Im Dorf gab es kein Lebensmittelladen, wo man was kühles kaufen konnte. Die Villa hat eigenen Kühlschrank gehabt, wo man Wasser kaufen konnte, aber selber nicht benutzen durfte. Auf dem Balkon für 3 Zimmern gab es nur 2 Stühle.
