Cougar Monteverde

Spacious but the kitchen was lacking equipment, coffee machine, exhaust fan. It was very humid not confortable and lack of heating.

The property itself was wonderful.

Little bit hard to find and involved traveling through some rugged hilly roads to get to. A bit remote.

The property is very big, but it’s cold and the heater only heat up the small area and stopped working. The view is nice and the place is easy to find.

We did have a hard time sleeping first night as it is very noisy with the wind. It’s a cool sound as it’s nature but if you’re used to quiet it’s challenging to sleep even with ear plugs. We got very wet when we hiked the el Tigre water falls and we had no way of drying out anything . We had to pack up some very wet gear to take to our next location to wash and dry.

The house was more beautiful than we expected. It was very comfortable.

Bring ear plugs, Monteverde has wind, and loud bugs. There are no trees touching the roof anymore.

Very well equipped, modern and spotlessly clean. Very spacious and well equipped. Feels Like you are in the jungle with the trees on all sides. Great instructions from the owner how to get there.

It needs a heated towel rail in the bathrooms as due to the humidity towels do not dry. Best to arrive in daylight due to the roads
