Great little room, perfect for a little escape to the countryside.

It was way smaller and a lot less comfortable than expected.

Too small telly not working and the seating and bed very Uncomfortable. Just a dirt track to it and not safe

The Snug is in a beautiful and remote location which was exactly what we were looking for when booking. It was a beautiful sunny autumn morning when we woke up so we sat outside and had a lovely chat with our host, David.

The lodge had an excellent location and incredible views. Despite being small it felt very spacious and had plenty of room for me and my partner. We were greeted by a very friendly horse each time we entered / exited the field. The owners were extremely helpful during our stay and quick to correct any issues we encountered. Although we didn’t use the kitchen it looked well stocked and had a fridge that could fit all the essentials in it! The bed is very easy to fold down and surprising big, my partner is 6ft 6 and slept comfortably! Overall we had an incredible time visiting the lodge.

The lodge was very clean for the most part however we found some hairs in the bedding and when the bed is folded out the gap between the wall is very dirty which isn’t ideal as your pillow can fall down it. We didn’t have toilet paper upon arrival as it was left on the fence in the rain and we missed it in the dark, however the owners were very quick to correct this! The trail was clear but be aware it is steep and in wet and dark conditions was harder to navigate - no fault of the owners though! We managed to get an Audi A5 up but just a warning to those with “city cars” as you may struggle as the weather gets frosty.

location is very peaceful.The hosts have make a full on effort to make your stay comfortable, all the facilities were provided. it's a fantastic spot for a young family & likewise for solo travellers. Oswestry is a short drive and is worth a visit in it's own right. it's a great spot for a get away & if the sun's out it's a glorious location . The hosts are very friendly & also very professional.

The Access farm track would be a challenge in winter for most cars without 4 wheel drive & drivers without confidence.
