Villa Diletta Luxor

The place is cozy, clean and good located. Our stay was very short but we enjoyed it and hope to come back soon. Mohamed is really amazing person and was helping with any question like for the old friends.

Brilliant location right beside the nile and Muhammad is very helpful and organised all the tours I wanted to do for a good price.

Charming room, beautiful resting area, comfortable, close to everything.

Flat with a big roof terrasse for some cool air at dinner time located in a small village with quiet surrondings :-). Room with A/C, laundry room to wash clothes upon arriving from 3 days in Cairo & clean bathroom. You have to take the ferryboat from Luxor to get there and we appreciated the ride :-).

Booking did not take into account my changing of departure time so we had to pay the night we did not spend there :-(. The owner also told us (and we experienced it ourselves on the morning we left) that many tourists book his place ... many for the same day/date and they show up, so he has to find other accomodations for them :-(. Also, the owner wanted us to pay the amount in dollars ... but we come from Europe and only use Euros. So I hope he will take that remark into account for the next tourists who come and stay at his place.

Overall the stay was great and I would recommend this place to people looking for a place to themselves on the West bank. Mohammed was great with the communication throughout the entire stay. He helped to arrange for a pick up for us when we reached Luxor, and a boat transfer to the West bank, which is the quickest way to get across. He was available on short notice when we had any questions, and had good suggestions and contacts for sightseeing in Luxor, though we had already booked most of our activities. The property itself is as described in the pictures. It's a quaint little house with a small front garden that has everything youd'd expect in a home. The place was clean, the A/C and Wifi worked well. The bathroom was spacious and clean as well.

The only minor downside is potentially the location. While being on the West bank is convenient if you're visiting the Valley of the Kings/ Queens, the East bank has all the major transportation hubs, like the bus and train station as well as most of the good places to eat. This of course can be a matter of preference, and it is relatively easy to get boats to cross back and forth at most times of the day.

As there are many good comments about the host Mohamed, it was a really wonderful host. First of all, we have to evaluate Mohammed. In most cases, when I stay in a hotel in Egypt, I try to force them to buy a lot of tours, but Mohamed was not like that. They will provide it only if you consult me when I need it. We will also arrange all the taxis and boats to move to the destination and return to the inn. And I was able to trust him because he offered me a reasonable price. There was absolutely no push selling. Because he is a strict person, I was able to trust his colleagues. Some drivers tried to connect to the business, but if there is anything, if you consult with Mohamed, there will be no problem. His wife is Italian, so he may understand different cultures. It wasn't very Egyptian. He's the type of person that is also favoured by Japanese people. The room I stayed in also had a balcony, so I could sit on a bench and spend a relaxing time while looking at the plants in the courtyard. I'm grateful to him for having a comfortable stay. If the lights in the room can be a little brighter, there is no problem. There are dim lights, but there is no problem because I only sleep at night. People who do some work need light.

Mohamed is soooo nice, he helps me arrange the hot air balloon flight and the car for the following day with reasonable price. The house is spacious and clean, with all the facilities, perfect 👍

We booked the Blue apartment and it is even more beautiful than in the pictures. The balcony is amazing and has cute lights that make it very comfortable. The house was clean, the aircon was working and the kitchen had everything one needs to cook. Mohammed was an amazing host who was very helpful and made our stay very easy. While others try to rip you off everywhere you go he offered us his services. In the same sentence he also told us where we can go to take the cheapest boat that the locaks here also take. So if you want to book a taxi/boat it's save to ask him. We also saf ed a lot of money on out hot air ballon trip with his help. Very close to the apartment is a small 'supermaket' (hamada market)' with very friendly stuff where you can buy a lot of things. The apartment is also in an alley and i traveld alone with my sister, and he and the location made us feel very save. The key for the frontgate is exclusive for you and the other apartment.

If you want to take the ferry, just know that you have to turn away a loooot of boat owners who try to convince you in a for us uncomfortable, hassling way. But that's everywhere you go in Egypt. Just stay aware that most things are in walking distance :)
