Very secluded, loved the views and how far from everything it felt. The fireplace was fantastic and plenty of wood. Mark was a great host and was very patient as we got stuck in traffic on the way there.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hawkesview. The views and peace and comfort were outsdanding. There were books and puzzles and games which we enjoyed too. The inside fire was perfect and lots of wood and kindling was supplied.

There was nothing we didn't like. We didn't mind the lack of WIFI inside the cabin (you could pick it up outside if you needed to, and a landline is on hand). It's a 30 min drive to restaurants and shops which we didn't mind either as the bonus of being smack in the country made up for that. You have to drive to most places in the Grampians anyway, even to start your walks.

Very peaceful environment with wonderful views of the Grampians. Catriona is an excellent host who made us feel very welcome. Very spacious accommodation with a lovely wood fire to warm us on a chilly night.

As the stay is rural there is little to no mobile service. But is this really a problem as we had time to technology detox and there is a land line available if we needed it.

"Great place in the middle of wilderness."

I was unfortunately there on the 2 hottest days of the year so I wished there were air cons. Mobile does not work. There is a landline in the property for any emergency though.
