"I would go again."

The Rusty Mackerel was a delight to be. Who would have thought to rent a room behind a pub? The staff was wonderful, breakfast was delicious, and it was of good Irish fare. The age of this place, its remoteness, and popularity were other aspects I enjoyed.

Rooms were spare and small, but it got the job done - of being able to rest.

"A quirky pub a bit manic at weekends, okay for one or two nights, we stayed three which was too many."

Location. Bedrooms were clean and modern but very small.

The bedrooms were very small, no space for cases. Getting to breakfast room had to go through builders working.

"Perfect iconic Ireland."

Love this place. Iconic Ireland. Great pub, great food, great night’s sleep. So close to Sliebh Liag. The staff were great. Perfect.
