Warm welcome, easy to find, great location, short walk into Matlock Town centre. Very comfortable and well equipped cottage. Very quiet, safe off road parking.

The cottage was spotlessly clean, decorated to a high standard and well equipped.

"Very nice place to stay , great communication with the host. Reasonable price and lovely furnishing."

This property was fantastic, very close to all facilities and very well insulated and the bed was so comfortable

I think the sofa was originally a recliner because it’s broken. I would say it’s not the best sofa, but it wasn’t terrible.

"I had a very cosy stay that felt like I was coming back to a home away from home."

9.0

The cottage was perfect in size! I really appreciated that there were books to read, attraction leaflets, and walk/hike guides. There was even a selection of movies (I didn't watch any, but it was nice to have). I loved that there was a washer because I had been traveling before and used it immediately!

I noticed others mention a lack of shower and though it would have been nice it wasn't a huge deal for me. I do wish there had been some way of making coffee. There was a tea pot which was great but no press pot/areopress/moka pot etc.. I found leftover coffee in the cabinet and was very curious how others managed to make any. Unless I somehow missed it. It would also have been nice to have a sheer curtain option downstairs for the mornings to let in the light but not be as on display.
