Dixons Den Hot Tub

Very relaxing, quiet and peaceful. Had a lovely weekend although we had a couple of little hiccups they were sorted extremely quickly. We received a message2 days before we left letting us know of an issue and the boiler wasn’t cooperative on arrival. But as I say both were sorted.

There was a slight lack of towels, glasses etc for 6 of us but this could have been down to an issue that happened before we arrived, it didn’t cause any major issues but I would take things with me next time.

The fact the hot tub was at the back so was quite secluded so that nobody could see us, kids enjoyed it very much! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, was a nice getaway with a friend and our kids!

We were not in the property more than 3 hours to beable to find anything like able about it

Tv didnt work WIFI didnt work Cracks in walls When we rang the owners about this they said they ‘cant do anything tonight’ this was at 2 pm and we where only there 2 nights We were not there to go out as i am 8 month pregnant and my partner is of ill health and literally is nothing else to do in the park. We were told someone could bring a tv the next day so would or had to wait in on our only full day? He then replied with ‘well im in spain i cant do anything’ if i had of rang a number in spain i would of heard an international dial tone. Also apparently never ever had customers complained the tv hadnt worked, but his wife has already told me the tv had only went in a few days before as the other one was smashed up the weekend before. Lack of facilities and complete lies from the owners. There fore we left and came home after 3 hours, and now struggling for a refund.

Caravan was lovely and clean, great location, great hottub. Beds were comfy, shower was good.

Rooms were a tad small. Site would benefit from a shop and another pub or some entertainment

The location was fantastic. Perfect for exploring Alnwick and the surrounding area. Minutes from the A1. The caravan was clean and tidy.

The hot tub was a massive disappointment. The water was absolutely disgusting, cloudy and it smelt awful. It was only heated to 35 degrees when we got there so wasn’t ready to use. We turned it up but it was really cold. There was broken glass on the floor around it the tub. There was also absolutely no privacy at all. I could see 5 caravan windows from the tub! I don’t know why a screen hasn’t been put up? Only used the tub for 15 minutes on the first night, didn’t even bother with it on the second. Really poor as this was a main reason we booked the caravan. The light in the toilet didn’t work. We couldn’t change the temperature on the shower and it was stuck on scolding hot. The advert said towels were provided but they weren’t. We only had 2 between 6 of us. It was lucky we brought some towels for the beach. There was one roll of toilet roll, no tea or coffee, only 2 forks in the cutlery drawer which was broken. Beds were really uncomfortable, could feel every spring.

The property was clean and tidy and well maintained. The hosts were very helpful and on hand if needed.

Unfortunately the beds were extremely uncomfortable. The double bed wasn’t as bad but when lying on the single beds you could feel the springs.
