Villa Belja

The villa is big,inside and outside,perfect for a family of seven.We liked the pool,heating is a must in February.The landlord Belkis is very attentive,always available and ready to help-she sent us information about places of interest, restaurants with reasonable prices etc.and we were very satisfied.Self check-in was perfect and there was also a bottle of wine waiting for us.The neighbourhood is very quiet,as the villa is about 25 minutes of walk from the centre of Playa Blanca.We would for sure recommend Villa Belja.

Some more cleaning utensils would be welcome (there is a dishwasher and a washing machine, but no washing powder).The walls would need fresh paint,previous guests left smashed mosquitoes-bring electric repellents,even in February the mozzies are very active (it was 25 degrees).However,the villa was clean,with some fresh paint it would be above perfect.

hot water was difficult as after 1 shower we had to wait for water to heat again. TV in basement had no internet connection so top floor was tight for space for 6 guests to watch TV..

The Villa was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Accessing the keys was straightforward. The outside area and the pool was excellent. My granddaughters were in the pool within 20 minutes of us arriving. The pool was warm and relatively large for a villa rental. Contact with Belkis who owns the Villa was quick and straightforward and she answered any questions we had. Even when the water supply was interrupted due to external work on our last full day she was in regular contact. When the supply came back on Mauro the maintenance man came round and primed the water pump so we had full water facilities. On our last day we were able to leave our luggage in a wooden building on site securely with the cleaning lady returning at three pm to unlock the door for us so we could get straight into our airport transfer. This was necessary as Ryanair changed our return flight time 6 weeks before we were due to travel. I would recommend this Villa to anyone and hope to return here next year when the school my Granddaughters attend publish their holiday dates.

There was nothing that we particularly disliked.

No aircon down in lower floor for two twin rooms.

The pool and outdoor area were great . The photos do not show how good the outdoor areas are . The inside living area are good and air conditioning works well upstairs. The villa had everything we needed for a family holiday.

The downstairs area’s become very hot . But you can always find negatives. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the villa .

Ideal for family self catering with pool and excellent facilities, short taxi ride to beach and town centre (be mindful if large family that local taxis only take 4 passengers).

Some TLC required on some fixtures and fittings here and there, the house is painted white in the interior and high usage areas require a touch up as stained (this is nick picking though as clean and tidy throughout otherwise). Spa bath doesn't function (only noticed it as it was in the main on-suite, not a deal breaker). Would visit again.
