The Armoury

Everything was great, the location is beautiful and perfect to explore the region, the amenities are also great. there’s everything you might need for a comfortable stay. We buoyed our stay in the Armoury.

The double bed was really narrow, rather queen size and that was not really comfortable for 2 grownups. The check-in at 17:00 is quite late.

De locatie was perfect om de omgeving te verkennen en uiteraard het Glenfinnan viaduct, dat was om de hoek. Mooi stukje Schotland, aanrader !

A perfect base camp for our highland getaway. Either direction from the property gives you stunning views and lovely walks. So close to the viaduct and the loch opposite. Just beautiful.

From arrival everything was fantastic, the house was spotless, warm and very comfortable with a welcome hamper including some Scottish treats, which was a very nice touch. The view from the full height window was great and the house is such a relaxing place to be when the weather turned. WiFi was great, no issues with any of the wonderful facilities and the house was very well stocked with all you need and more. Location was perfect, leave the car and explore Glenfinnan, short stroll to Glenfinnan House for a drink or food and lots of trails around to suit all abilities. In summary, we have stayed in various places across the Highlands in the last few years and the Armoury was easily the best. Great host, wonderful house and location is stunning, fully recommend.

The rain

Location is stunning. The accommodation was excellent. We stayed over Christmas and new year as a family of five. The host made the accommodation very festive. Given the location it is self catering. Everything you need to do the perfect festive dinner spreads was available. The accommodation has a unique character reflecting its setting and its main view over St Marys church and the loch beyond.
