Hydra Erato

The garden was breathtaking - a perfect opportunity to relax in nature surrounded by plants, flowers and some beautiful tortoise friends. The mules ran past at sunset one night and it was truly like something out of a film. There is an outdoor shower which is a great experience to shower with a view and feel grounded in nature. Manolis was the perfect host, he left a welcome pack of many food items, wine and ouzo, gave us vouchers for the dinner and sunbeds which we were not expecting, and was generally just very open and friendly. Although the location is quite remote, we stayed for 8 nights and our favourite restaurant was genuinely the one a 3 minute walk away! And another one (Marinas) is only 10 minutes and was some of the friendliest service on the island - authentic food with unbeatable views. Thank you manolis, we loved meeting you and we are grateful to have had this experience in your home.

Fridge stocked with Breakfast treats , water and drinks ! The views are amazing.

The third room was windowless ( window into living room) unfortunately the AC and fan were being repaired. However the owner supplied a floor fan immediately.

The house is high up above the ocean in the most beautiful setting overlooking the Vlychos beach with a mountainside alongside.

It was lovely but could do with a decent shower (it needs to be held while using!) and some more seating. The accommodation is for 4 but the patio seating only sits 3 at a push!

It was a dream holiday in Erato with our host Manolis. The traditional style villa and the many terraces with great views were outstanding. The tranquillity of the surroundings and the proximity to the beach is a dream. Manolis the host is very attentive and friendly, always ready to help and very communicative and knowledgeable. You can have long and very good conversations with him and also get a lot of information from him. One thing he should learn is how to play Tavli (backgammon)😁😂🤣 Thank you for a great time and I'm already looking forward to the next time. I will definitely go there again. Quite and fantastic vue and very clean

Nice and quiet place in a secluded location 3km from Hydra Town. Good beaches and two Nice taverna nearby.

A bit far from Hydra for the nighthawks.

Stunning view especially sunset. Peaceful. The owner was very generous and accommodating. Treating us to sunbeds and dinner.

No aircon in master bedroom. The walk up the stairs at the end. Good for keeping fit.
