Is Presumption of Guilt Included in the Price? Thanks to a Booking.com UI glitch that capped our selection at six adults instead of seven, the owner instantly labeled us as cheaters and treated us accordingly our entire stay. Our mistake was not noticing that the system locked in six adults, and apparently, a 6-year-old child counts as a full adult. So, there were seven of us. Never mind that it’s a massive house with empty bedrooms. House rules dictated a €350 surcharge. We didn’t mind paying. All we wanted was to settle it through Booking.com, not directly at the property. The original difference between six and seven guests was around €250. Even during our conflict, the Booking app showed a difference of €260, not €350. But we never managed to agree on paying through the platform. I asked if I could at least pay by card at the property. Of course not. Cash only. The unspoken reason? Tax evasion, that what I heard in conversation. In the end, we had to hand over the cash. But simply asking for an invoice or any proof of payment was met with resistance and sparked yet another argument, even though it seemed like a perfectly legal and reasonable request. In other case, when the bathroom flooded, we reported the issue immediately. The very first reaction? Accusing us of filling the bathtub. Filling a bathtub in 30-degree heat outside :) Never mind that it’s there to be used, not just for decoration. But we hadn't even filled it. A plumber was called in, who confirmed the tub wasn't the issue; the cause was likely the main drain. Without missing a beat, the narrative shifted to accusing us of flushing toilet paper. Even though there are signs plastered all over the house: "Do not throw paper in the toilet." I must have repeated five times that we are civilized and know how to read. We didn't flush any paper. That didn't stop the accusations.

Clean place with a modern bathroom. The host was super kind and welcoming. Amazing view and definitely highly recommended. I loved it.

Tolle Aussicht und toller Pool

If you're in luck and they are available - don't hesitate, just book! Absolutely everything was perfect, it's a real gem hidden away in the quiet north of Zakynthos. The view is phenomenal and everything has been thought of to the very last detail. There's even a well-stocked wine cooler! Kiriaki and Niko were incredible hosts, from the complimentary welcome basket, to being on call for anything I needed and especially for helping book the most amazing massage which I could enjoy in the villa. They offer some wonderful and unique experiences (private boat trips, horse-riding) and are there to ensure you enjoy every moment of your stay with them. Mary and Vladimir kept the place absolutely spotless and everybody was just so kind, you're always greeted with warmth and a smile. I couldn't have enjoyed my stay more, I can't wait to come back! Thank you again!

Having to leave!

This accommodation is absolutely gorgeous. We stayed in the Deluxe Villa for two weeks. Kiriaki and Nikos are excellent hosts, they will help you with anything you need but also leave you to enjoy it in peace if that’s what you want. We didn’t hire a car initially and Kiriaki was kind enough to take us to the local town to get our supplies and hire a car, we had never experienced kindness like it from someone we’d never met before! I enjoyed driving around to explore the island and it was wonderful to have such a lovely place to come back to. The pool is cleaned every day and the apartment is cleaned frequently. The cupboards are stocked with appliances and anything you might need to cook nice meals, and there are three tavernas nearby. We recommend the one directly opposite which has a real Greek atmosphere; we looked forward to our dinners there. There are three beaches, two with snack places and the third has a food station run by Nikos also walking distance. Kiriaki runs a food station as well at the top of it all, her gyros was a regular meal for us! We had the chicken one and the falafel one and they were both delicious. We really loved it here, it deserves its high rating. The villas are behind an electric security gate which makes you feel really secure as well. We really recommend this accommodation and these hosts. We drove all around the island and think this is the best accommodation on Zakynthos to have as a base for adventures or for staying put. We stayed for a week in this little paradise. The villa has everything you need. It is beautifully clean and the hosts are there for you any time. Amazing place to stay.
