Villa Alyko

Absolute briliant place near beach, cedar(juniperus) forest, white sand dunes, beatiful surounding, with pool, large barbeque, also restaurant next door. Ideal for family with kids.

2 times shortage of power for couple of minutes, up to 1h, but that is general issue across the Greece islabds with power company. WiFi not stable and not working in base floor, simple repeater will do the job.

Multi level house with tons of outside areas, amazing pool, huge bar-b-q and outside kitchen and dining place. Location is perfect if you look for a quite place a bit remote from the hussle of the center. Alyko has a few great beaches around it which was perfect for us. A few minutes drive to super market, and about 15 minutes to bakery / butcher / others. The cleaning lady, Rosie, was there every day most day so we enjoyed all day cleaning which was great and very helpful.

While the property is on the beach, it is still about 8-10 minutes walk through the sand and Alyko forest to get to the water. Living space inside is a bit small for 6-8 guests.

We were met at the port by Luca and he kindly took some of the family and their luggage in his car so we could follow in our own hire car with the rest of the luggage and family members. The villa itself has a fantastic pool and outdoor entertaining area, and gorgeous views of the beach from the upstairs patio. The villa was serviced every day and cleaned to a high standard by the very lovely Rose, as well as a gardener who we didn't see much but magically had cleaned the pool and BBQ by the time we woke up! The beach (which is a short walk across a sand dune - wear shoes!) was super - though we hadn't quite realised it was a nudist one, but to be fair there were not that many people there and everyone politely kept themselves to themselves, so it wasn't a problem at all. The restaurant across the road was also excellent, and the supermarket a bit further down the road (a short drive) was very useful and had pretty much everything we needed.

Sadly, we had a lot of wind the week that we were on Naxos and it made the sea very choppy and not many boats were going out so we couldn't go fishing etc, and the beaches were a bit tricky as the sand was blown up a lot. We did find one further south of the villa which was less windy and great for snorkelling!

It was a beautiful place to stay, with a lovely pool and only a few mins walk to a secluded beach - very idyllic. The villa was incredibly clean and tidy, thank you to Rose that came every day and transformed the place! She was incredibly thorough and sweet. We had a truly wonderful holiday so thank you so much :)

outdoor grounds were beautiful and spacious. private swimming pool was perfect place to relax after long day at beaches.

lovely views over cedar forest to the sea and sunset, feels quite wild.

we stayed in Villa with Sea View and Elegant Villa which on the inside is anything but. The rooms are small so adding bold (nasty!) interior design features just makes them feel even more cluttered; the interior design ‘look’ is actually very intrusive.
