Salt villas

Salt Villas is best place we stayed after one month in Indonesia. The bungalow is huge, with a small peivate pool and garden with sunny mornings. There’s AC and a wide comfy bed. The two guys running the place are lovely, super happy to help all the time with anything you need, and they clean your room upon request. We loved them. I really don’t understand the bad reviews on this place (it’s probably complainers).

If you’re sensitive to light, you will need a facemask to sleep.

Nothing it was a shit hole with smarmy caretakers

The drugs which are illegal. The villa next door and the caretakers were doing drugs every night. Response to this was this is gili air. The caretaker tried to make us pay more money as a scam. He told us that we hadn’t paid the full amount. We had to get the police involved. The room was never cleaned unless we asked. Pool was filthy. Not a 4 * more like a shit hole. Would never recommend this. Don’t even think about it. It is dated, dirty and needs some tlc. A total dive.

The property was clean and have a good location, near the center of the island, so you can reach everything very easy.

The property have big windows from both sides where the morning sun hits quite intensively.

The villa is big and having all necessary facility. It is closed to the beach like only 200m away, also closed to the main street end to easily reach from harbour by walking. And the host is really helping and available whenever u require anything. It is really worth the money.

It had everything you need, was beautiful, spacious and clean with many facilities at such a great price. This was my favourite accommodation out of all the different places we stayed at in Bali and I will stay here again next time. The staff were incredibly helpful, lovely and informative. They organised a scooter for us and also gave clear step-by-step directions on how to find the property before we got there. Excellent communication and service. Amazing villa.

Plunge pool was amazing and loved having the kitchen outside.

Airconditioning - it just couldn't cope with the high ceiling and large space. Needed to be a bigger air conditioner.

The villa was incredibly clean and very well maintained. It was also fully self-contained so we could cook our own meals, etc, if we wanted. Great position close to some of the best restaurants and snorkelling in Gili Air. The hosts were amazing!

The ONLY downfall is the room can get quite hot because of the sun and high roof. However this did not distract from the positives at all. Just had to keep the curtains closed!
