Villa Kunang

Villa Kunang was perfectly quiet and peaceful. A private sanctuary just minutes’ walk from bustling Legian and Seminyak. It was very clean and had all the basic facilities. The pool was a lovely temperature. It had plenty of space. The mattresses were firm and comfortable.

The villa along with its furniture and fittings is very dated. The deck chair covers had cigarette burn (?) marks on them. My kids were eaten alive by mozzies at night despite the nets over every bed so we were ready to leave after four nights. I would have also appreciated some complimentary shampoo.

The location of this villa is perfect - 1 min walk to a the street, so many lovely restaurants to choose from that are super close. We had 8 people staying in the villa and their was plenty of room for us all. Kids loved the pool - so much bigger than we expected. The villa had everything we needed. Thanks for a fab stay!

Overall our stay in Villa Kunang was wonderful. The jewel in the crown was the beautiful pool that greets you every morning, jet like water pressure mornings/evening (it was crazy humid this time of year) and its central location. I am an old soul so the villa’s vibe and ambience fits me well. However, my family consists of teenagers who wished the amenities were more modern. My kind suggestion is to give the villa a new fresh look. Remove the old, dust and rust coated fans, deco, ceiling lights and paintings. Bathrooms were clean but could also do with a new look. All-in-all the 4 days and 3 nights flew by so fast. Our sincere thanks to Kutu Caretaker for his warm disposition, lovely smile and ever attending to our needs and questions. Ps: Don’t leave food on the coffee table. Ants come pretty fast. There’s a residing gecko that may come to visit. Don’t be alarm by its size and noise. According to local beliefs gecko are signs of a positive clean spirited home. Watch out for the hairy caterpillars too in case you have sensitive skin. Kutu says they can be smelly.

Could do with a fresh look and minor renovation. Door knob to master bedroom toilet fell off during our stay and sister almost got locked in

The villa is a good size, the bedrooms all really big, even the single room was a decent size. The beds were very comfy and massive. Great air con in each bedroom. The pool is the hero of the place, lovely well kept gardens with plenty of sun and shade. Drinking water was provided free. The caretaker was lovely, he was very friendly and helpful. He was cutting the lawn with hedge cutters, please give him access to a lawn mower! Location was great, situated in a quiet cul de sac, yet close enough to bars, cafes, restaurants and massage places, also only a short walk to the beach.

The villa could have been cleaner overall. Eg there was thick dust on window sills and the light switches were also grubby. Maybe I'm too fussy and have high standards! It had a dated feel and would have benefited from modernisation. No air con in the living areas, only the bedrooms, so sitting in the lounge as a group was uncomfortable due to the heat and humidity.

Gorgeous homely villa. Close to beach and restaurants. Very large pool. Lovely, helpful host Putu. Would 100% stay again.

Loved everything about our stay.

Location was fantastic. Clean and comfortable Villa. Putu met us on arrival (arrived late due to flight delay but came to greet us at night!) and went through everything with us. Communication prompt through WhatsApp if needs arise. Beach about 10 minute walk or 2 minutes if you use transport. Bintang Supermarket 5 minute walk. There is also a corner store at the end of the lane about 100 meters away. Food and eateries at the end of the lane. Large pool! Great to chill and cool off in anytime of the day. Villa cleaned daily along with the pool. Aircon in all rooms worked efficiently. Enjoyed our stay!

What a gorgeous villa! Loved the location but the pool was a standout! There were 6 of us in the group and the house was big enough for all to have our own space and Mr Putu is so lovely. Can order food and drinks (proper plates and cutlery not boxed and buntang buckets) from next door Sara Pondok villas and deliver to your door. Would not hesitate to stay again when we go back.
