Villa Aska

After wanting to find something a little more secluded in Amed, this villa was perfect. The pool was the perfect temperature and size, along with 2 comfy sun lounges (which get a great amount of sun). The view was amazing and we could watch the sunset followed by a night swim. Given the location of the villa is up a high and windy road, only scooter if you have experience, however cars can get up too. Just note that 'taxis' are much more expensive and there is no gojek/grab (like Canggu back in the day). They have a connection with a restaurant in the area in which we ordered breakfast and lunch from. Bali can be a bit bland for breakfast options, but this cafe was great! Overall great villa compared to others in the area, had a filtered water dispenser, roomy room and bathroom and the staff were very accommodating, even went a grabbed a bag of ice for us :) Would rate higher however we stayed in 4 villas throughout our trip and some of them were 10/10.

Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper, there are animals right under the villa and the rooster can be heard throughout the day (especially early morning). Strangely we also heard a scratching sound at night at random times, we thought it was coming from inside the table the TV was on (something the owner can look into). Oh there was a local who came up to us and tried to peep up over the pool area to ask us if we wanted a massage. We politely said no, the villa might be aware as there were bamboo sticks along the villa wall, trying to bring a bit more privacy to the villa. Apart from that, it was a great villa and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

It’s a bit far from the main road and good restaurants, you often need a taxi and grab is not really working Service personal not really speaking English

View was nice ,nothing special.you need a motorbike or car to get around.

Curtains was very dirty and they did not provide any complimentary coffee or tea bags.road to the villa is very bad and dark.and from the road down and up to the house with stairs can be challenging to whom has some difficulties.two seperate rooms.

Staff was nice and friendly, villa has everything you need and the pool with a view is amazing. Breakfast was ordered from a restaurant nearby, 80k with juice/fruit salad and coffee/tea included. Breakfast food was a bit disapointing, hovewer you could order anything from the menu. Food is ordered by whatsapp and delivered to the villa. We comunicated with the manager via whatsapp, he was also nice and helped us with everything.

Location of the villa is not the best. To get to the Lipah beach there is a short walk down the hill, with a few stairs after which you pass through dirt yard with a lot of rocks, plastic and two cows. If you have mobility issues, deffinitely not for you. When we wanted to go out in the evening, calf was standing in our way but moved when we wanted to pass. When we were coming back, a big cow was standing in our way, didn’t want to move and started making weird noices. In order to come to the villa we had to take the longer route, on which there were bunch of stray dogs barking at us. Also this is not a problem of this villa, but you should know that in this area everyone will try to sell you something all the time. Taxi to Amed is 150k. Everything closes early, so even if you want to stay late in Amed or somewhere else it will be hard finding a ride back. Villa is very clean, however we did see cockroaches.

Simply amazing view!! Comfortable in every way! Easy access to Lipah Beach to snorkel off the beach.

Minor stuff.. felt a bit remote but not necessarily a bad thing. Just got to know our local area. If you can ride scooter all good.
