SaffronStays Suvarna Sangam riverfront villa with boat rides, candlelight dinners & backwater views in Udupi

The room was in decent size to accommodate us (a couple) and our 11 yrs old daughter. The view of the river from the room is simply fantastic, they have made a small deck and hammock near the bank which is a wonderful arrangement. We strolled around the property a lot. The bathroom is quite big. The food was delicious, we had almost all the meals there and they were as per our expectations. The host Mr. Prasad was helpful to make all the arrangements seamless.

Nothing much to dislike. It's not a typical resort where you have lots of fun activities, games, etc. This is the place to just relax, unwind, take a walk, eat, sleep, and visit beache/s nearby, etc.

The location was excellent (on the river bank) and had great time with our kids. Was bit skeptical about the accessibility on day 1 but then I realized its worth it. Must say the food was excellent, harmless and our preferences were considered. Caretaker Prasad had good contacts of auto and car drivers who took us to different sites with great care. He also kept checking with us on preparing food when we are out and ensured the food was ready when we reached the property. Definitely recommend to my family and friends.

The positioning of AC could have better as the reach was not so good for those who are away in the room. However, they arranged for an air cooler too that made us comfortable.

But the So called manager dint turn up for a min also in 2 days of our stay and his reponse also very rude when we called for re-fund details. We paid 16K for 2 days and there was not even a complimentary breakfast. for 2k stay other hotels provide ocmplimentary breakfast but this stay doesnt even provide food if we need it at exergency. We need to go 4 kms if we need food are anything urgetly. Not at all worth paying so much for the stay

It’s a clean and simple property in a lovely location. Since we stayed for just one night and arrived late we couldn’t explore the space fully. The staff led by Prasad Shetty was very efficient and prompt. They cooked us a lovely meal at a very short notice. One can explore Kodi Bengare from here.

The drive to the property takes you over a rather narrow bridge and we luckily managed to get thru. I wish we had been told about it as there was an alternate road which was easier. The approach roads are narrow so best get the correct route from the hosts.

The property is managed by Prasad on the ground and he was very proactive to get in touch, consider our diet preferences and ensured that the property as a whole met our expectations. We had two children with us and the entire stay was as wholesome for them as it was for us. The location is an absolute winner and the ambience is exactly what you need for a getaway.

staff was courteous but highly untrained and unprofessional. bathroom door had an untapped (pointed ) screw inside hurting finger. room had 3 ventilators with only mesh causing air.conditioning ineffective. Shower flow un-satifactory. details given in services / facilities available in your site wrong. Food highly localised hence only a few dishes were palatable
