Villa Heron Ubud

We loved the property. It was so spacious for our group. The pool was fantastic and the rooms and bathrooms were large. There were two twin rooms and four double rooms, all with mosquito nets, though not that necessary as we didn’t notice too many mosquitoes, but used bug spray nonetheless. Fantastic areas for groups to sit in the outdoor lounge and socialise. It was peaceful by the rice paddies there were three massage tables and the staff arranged massages for our group.

The kitchen was not really suitable for self catering. It had plenty of glassware in crockery, but it would’ve been inconvenient to try and cook there. But there was a fabulous bakery, coffee shop and little warung’s close by. The decking around the pool needed some repair however this didn’t bother us The tiles could be slippery when wet

This felt very luxurious for the price. All the rooms were huge with ensuites attached.

Nothing! We couldn’t have asked for more

Old buildings. There are toilets and doors that are broken. Staff is cooking breakfast for the their boss in the kitchen. Owner just came in without asking permission.

No road till the property. You have to walk from car a lot. At night lot of dogs in the area.

THE ROOM AND AIRCOND IS COMFORT

The location quite hidden, when order grab food, the driver cancel it due to map show at main road, not clear direction.

Location was great

Cleanliness was well below what we are used to in Bali. Stray cats around our food and leaving droppings everywhere which we cleaned up

The villa is really beautiful and has a unique charm with all the statues and decorations. The view on the rice fields is amazing. The rooms are big and living room/kitchen areas are fully equiped. If you have a vehicle, you can reach ubud center very quickly, even by foot is probably ok during the day (beware of the dogs at night). The villa gives a very luxurious atmosphere but there are little irritant that keep it from being truly amazing.

The rooms were only superficially clean : you better not drop something under the furnitures as it is probably never cleaned under there (there was an empty bottle from previous guest under the bed, and dead coakroached in the bathroom that remained there the entire time we were there). Since the room is not completely closed off from the outside, there are a lot of bugs coming in (big coakraoches, mosquitoes...); the mosquito net around the bed is appreciated, but it would be even nicer if it didn't have holes letting mosquitoes come in. In the bathroom the floor tiles were ripping off, so you had to be carefull not to get tiny pieces in your feets. Lots of wild dogs around the house (got bitten by one and won a trip to the clinic for rabbies vaccination). No parking space close to the house.
