The Mayflower - Heritage Villa

The home stay was very beautiful Very well maintained rooms and the owner Susan aunty was very accommodating, helpful and kind Felt like we visited a known relative🥰

All ! It is a really nice place with small house so no noise everything is calm ! AC worked super well and the food prepared by Susan is amazing ! Got Kerala dinner and breakfast and it was super great !

Location

Ganz tolle Unterkunft. Sehr sauber und es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Das Frühstück war super lecker. Wirklich ganz toll und nur zu empfehlen 😊

We stayed 2 nights at the mayflower heritage villa. It is one of our favourite places we stayed in kerala. Susan is a lovely host. She made us delicious breakfast and was very helpful in booking a houseboat trip. The location is perfect. Only 10 mins walk to beach and cafes. The rooms are charming and very comfortable! We would definitely come back.

The staff, the location and the cleanliness of the place

The villa is vintage and rooms are spacious. It is maintained impeccably by Mrs. Susan Mathew, who is a very kind host. The breakfast we were offered was exceptional. We ate a vegetarian breakfast of masala dosa, sambhar, coconut chutney and fruit salad. Most of the fruits were from her own organic garden. The sambhar was very rich and wholesome, with a lot of veggies unlike the watery sambhar that most restaurants offer.

Nothing to dislike.

An absolutely outstanding stay! This beautiful century-old house is full of charm and authenticity, creating a truly unique and unforgettable atmosphere. The room is spacious, beautifully decorated, with very comfortable bedding, fully equipped with air conditioning, and features a large and very comfortable bathroom. The Indian breakfast was a real treat: incredibly fresh, generous, and carefully prepared. Even during our one-night stay, it was a lovely experience. What truly makes this place exceptional, though, is the host. She is unbelievably kind, always available, attentive, and genuinely caring. She goes above and beyond to make you feel at home—if not even better! A place I would recommend without any hesitation.

La nourriture était délicieuse. L'Hôtesse était très sympathique et nous a beaucoup aidé pour les réservations d'activités.

Das Gebäude liegt in einer Wohnsiedlung außerhalb der Stadt und auch bis an den Strand sind es jeweils etwa 1km. Von einer sehr freundlichen Familie geführte Einrichtung mit insgesamt 3 Wohneinheiten. Unsere Einheit bestand aus einem sehr großen Wohn/Schlafzimmer mit guter Ausstattung und einem WC. Unser Frühstück war sehr großzügig dimensioniert und bestand aus ausgezeichneten Speisen der indischen Küche. Insgesamt eine empfehlenswerte Übernachtungsmöglichkeit.

Die Wege in die Stadt und ans Meer waren bei der großen Hitze etwas lästig. Tuk-Tuks kamen in unterschiedlicher Häufigkeit und es gab hier auch unschöne Szenen.
