Phaos at Saint John Villas with private heated pool

As all the other guests have said - the accomodation is impeccable, far more private than anywhere in central Oia, with a much larger pool and you are a 7 minute walk from the centre of town, so no compromise. The huge bonus is Tassos, your host who is on hand to fix anything you want or need - he can tell you all the best spots to visit, book you the best tables in town, act as a chauffeur for certain days out and is a wealth of knowledge about Santorini.

This is one of the best stays I’ve ever had. When I was looking for somewhere to stay on Santorini, I almost couldn’t believe how good these reviews are. But every single aspect is true. The villas are incredibly beautiful, with the most picturesque outlook. The location is very close to Oia (and an easy walk), but also far enough away from the throngs of tourists that you feel like you have your own sanctuary. You have everything you could possibly need during your stay. There’s a huge range of delicious choices for breakfast too. Tassos is an outstanding host – very warm, friendly and thoughtful – and truly makes your stay unbelievably special. We followed his recommendations for some of the best meals and experiences we had in Greece. He also worked miracles to help us book into various activities while we were there. His local knowledge and connections with transport providers, tour operators etc. would be difficult to beat, given his extensive experience. We can’t thank him enough for looking after us and highly recommend you choose to stay here!

The owner Tassos met us onsite to give us the keys. He took the time to walk through all the amenities of the house and explain how things worked. Throughout our visit, Tassos was readily available to offer advice, arrange activities or call us cabs. We traveled for a month on this vacation and this was the best experience we had. Tassos is a master of hospitality; we highly recommend this lovely home and Tassos to anyone who wishes to have a great experience in Santorini.

The villa as a whole is an amazing retreat, private, clean, and has a positive vibe to it. It is well furnished and equipped with your everyday needs, from high-end toiletries to a quality Bluetooth speaker to lighten up your afternoons by the pool, to hats and umbrella for use on your daily strolls up in Oia. Breakfasts were delicious and served to order at the time we specified in the poarch by the pool. The heated pool was an added bonus. The highlight of our stay was the host, Tassos. He is the kind of guy who is always available and happy to help. Tassos helped us with arranging reservations, recommending daily excursions, and even last minute dinner plans. It seems like I would need a separate post to write about Tassos. I feel like giving a 5 star rating to this property is not doing it justice, and that it definitely qualifies for an Exceptional rating.

There was literally nothing to dislike about the property. It was nothing short of perfect.

Properly located just few meters from Oía.. 10min on foot. Very close from crowded but very beautiful Oía! If you stay here, you will be very private, not like caldera.. packed and next to each other. Pool is large for a private villa.. There is also a big hammock (love it!) like bed. Villas inside are very well designed, with a lot of nice touches. You will have also ipad.. Bluetooth speaker.. pocket wi fi with you. Tassos the owner, is the best host we ever met! Very polite.. happy to help us with everything we want! Many many thanks! We will be back for sure!

This is a gem of a find. We searched for hours until we found St John’s private pool villas. Perfectly located in a very peaceful spot just a 12 minute walk into the busy and beautiful Oia. It really is fantastic value for money compared with the hotels overlooking the caldera and with equally good sea views. The villa is a lot bigger and more private than all of the hotels we looked into. The pool alone is on average three times the size of the ones we looked at nestled alongside the mountain. The villa is beautifully designed with every possible amenity you might need. The daily cleaning service, breakfast and Thassos being on hand to provide whatever you may need made this a true five star experience. There are lots of extra personal touches that Thassos provides but I’ll keep that a secret so you can also be pleasantly surprised. Thassos really helped me to make the stay extra special. We will be back

The villa was beautiful! Decorated and taken care of with a lot of passion and love. The view is amazing and the way the planting around the villa has been done gives privacy but doesn’t obstruct the beautiful view of the water and a little church. Breakfast was delicious and we were supplied with water, drinks, wine, lots of fresh fruit and snacks upon arrival.

I liked everything. It is however a little way (uphill) to walk into Oia. For us this was our daily workout and no problem but it should be kept in mind. We did have a rental car for longer excursions and Tassos booked us taxis if needed which also worked very well:)

What didn’t we like?! The location of this property to begin with is perfect! Just a 15minute walk/ 5 minute car journey from the hustle and bustle of the beautiful centre of Oia. The view from the property is stunning. To wake up and see the sea every morning and to watch the sunset from a very comfortable hammock was pure bliss. Breakfast everyday was delicious! The villa itself was gorgeous, modern and clean, with a lovely pool to relax in. The best thing about this property though has to be the wonderful host Tassos. Anything we needed he was there to help, from ordering taxi’s, food, recommendations of restaurants, places to visit on the island, he knew it and would have it sorted in a heartbeat. Tassos is what adds the extra sparkle to this already wonderful property. My partner and I had a wonderful holiday here, one we won’t forget and will definitely be returning in the future!
